not a fix. There was contact for the pen. Need to see it again, but Berbatov made the most of it

But the red was easily a red.

he's a corrupt mofo. Every fan, of every club, I've spoken to know that when you combine Webb and united the best you can hope for is a draw. I remeber Salgado on Bale a few seasons back, which was a blatant pen, and Webb had the perfect view, but nothing, but if a united player goes down in the box with no players within 50yards it's a pen. Don't even get me started on that Carrick pen.
Has he ever officiated over a united loss?

At the time it looked like a stonewall pen, easily given at the time, plus the sending off was nailed on and thats about it. A load of liverpool fans are comparing the Gerrard red with Rafaels tackle, theyre not even comparable!

I'd begrudingly lean towards saying he got the decisions correct but Berba definately gave him "help" with the penalty.
Of the many times he has messed up our games the last one being the Sunderland game where we had a stonewall penalty result Bentley booked for diving and a far worse challenge by Cattermole on Modric and gerrard could say in his defence Carrick was going in hard the result in our game was just a booking.
It does seem to be one way with Mr Webb.

Not the first time Howard Webb favour Man U over us. I remember Pedro Mendes goal he didn't award, no doubt when Fergie is gone Man U will crumble coz Webb and Fergie partnership will be gone.

Man U has the highest over time ever recorded: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/sep/22/manchester-united-goals-stoppage-time

Man U just cheats, but at Lane and this season we've been on fire, I've got a good feeling we'll thrash them 4-1 :)

Clattenburg was the ref for the Mendes goal.

A stonewall penalty, be serious! How could it possibly look like that? There was minimal contact and the lino who was 10-15 yards away with an unobstructed view gave nothing. Even if you think it was a pen to describe it as looking like a stonewall is ridiculous.

The penalty decision was very very poor but Gerrard was an idiot.

Webb is an appaling referee who projects obscene levels of arrogance and he does have a clear bias where Utd are concerned.

It's such a shame that all of these refs like Webb want to be Colina.

Because he stuck his leg out and it looked like he did touch him, the lino is stood at such an angle that the contact (or lack of) is impossible to physically see. It wasnt a pen, but it looked like one.

I believe I have read somewhere that it's now 4 penalties Webb has given United in his last six games officiating them.

The red was the correct decision, no doubt in my mind. If we'd have got that penalty decision I'd be smiling, if it had gone against us I'd be wanting his head on a spear.

Still, I seem to recall reading he was on a five year sabbatical from the old bill and that will be up soon, so hopefully not long left to put up with this tosser and his MBE.

Berba had me fooled too. Can't really blame Webb for getting it wrong, and the sending off was right.

I didn't watch the match today so can't comment on the incidents, but generally speaking it's a well know fact that Webb is a united puppet. It grinds me to say it, but even when those red ****s played the scum recently, I couldn't believe how biased he was. I actually felt sorry for the scumbags. I really despise the dick.

I think it was a very soft penalty, it was very hard to call, and I'm positive that wouldn't have been given to the away team at OT. Didn't he miss a stonker for us against Sunderland.

Definite red card though, but again, not sure that would have given the other way. And the ref ignored Rafaels two footer.
