Thank God we've still got Ricardo Moniz (not that he's going to help the keepers mind)

Don’t count on it. Apparently when Comolli came into the dressing room to talk to the players after the Getafe game, Moniz really launched into him and there was a flaming row, with all the players looking on in schocked embarrassment.

As for the goalkeeping coach, how about Tony Parks?

Yes it is Perry Suckling.

It's Perry Suckling.

Is that the full time appointment or is he just temping in that role?

Personally I don't know how good Perry Suckling is but I think we need to get a world class goal keeping coach in with a proven track record of training international goal keepers (I am sure we could afford a great GK coach). The only downside with this is finding one

peter Shilton alluded to it in one of his many paper articles. It was made kind of tongue in cheek but I wonder if anyone from Spurs would be willing to call his bluff?

I was going to suggest we ask Nev Southall if he fancies signing up, but apart from having the obvious strongest ties with Everton, it appears he's still playing!

Rhyl in Wales are his current side and, at 49, he's still warming the bench as their reserve keep it seems

Seriously, in my opinion, once the greatest keeper in the world.

In more ways than one.

Where did you hear that Edwardo?

The story about Moniz row with Comolli in the dressing room after the Getafe game comes from harryhotspur's blog. He claims to have source inside the dressing room.

On recent newspaper story claims that Levy never wanted Moniz in the first place, and that Jol had to enlist the support of Levy's wife in order to make it happen. It is alleged that this is when Levy's relationship with Jol started to sour.

If there is truth in any of this it woul not suprise me if Moniz was next out the door.

We'll get a spanish (GK) coach and goal keeper by the next transfer window.

Adios fatboy, we're the new Liverpool!

As far as one can judge on a single appearance, I was quite taken with Abbondanzieri the other night.

'Wandering' Hans had to go. As Eddie and others have pointed out already this season, ever since he's been goalkeeping coach our keepers appear to have got worse rather than better. The sniping at Hughton pissed me off no end, but in Segers' case there really does seem to be clear evidence that he wasn't up to the job.

If Robbo's confidence can be rebuilt and a new coach can get to work on his shortcomings I don't think there's a problem. It might also help if McClown dropped him, simply because every mistake he makes for club and country is going to be all across the back pages. And we're also getting things arse-about-face here; until the defence is protecting the keeper properly we're going to keep on conceding. The goals we've shipped whilst Cerny's been minding the store are evidence of that, because you can only lay Getafe's equaliser and possibly Anorthosis' consolation on him.
