If only he didn’t get injured at Euro 2004, his England career went a bit flat after that, broke some records yeah but really struggled to hit the heights he did for United. Incredibly gifted player, hope he does well in management.

Yeah I think his whole England career was pretty much ruined by poor managers, who all wasted the very talented players we had at the time.

Good luck to him, he takes a lot of stick, but whenever he’s spoken in interviews etc he’s come across as a nice guy.
