Missed the game today.

How did we lineup? Which players occupied which positions?

Anyone impress/ disappoint etc?

Thanks

Just heard a commentator say that the goal line decision system ruling Lamela‘a chance not a goal by a millimeter is technology working at its best. Same people who say technology ruling someone offside by a millimeter (another objective decision) is ruining the spirit of the game by denying goals... I lose my mind sometimes.
Thing is with offsides the frame rate isn’t accurate enough to tell and the debate is where you draw the line too With Hawkeye it’s either all over the line or not. It works

I would usually say read the thread but according to the last few pages real fans don't come in here to discuss the match, they actually come in to tell anyone seeing positives that they are wrong and should instead be so raging at Levy and ENIC that what happened in the game was irrelevant...

Referee wasn't exactly favouring us. Had quite a few decent chances from Son, Lamela etc that wouldn't have looked out of place coming from Sissoko. Gazzaniga gets SC immunity for a few days because he saved a penalty and kept a clean sheet. Winks had a stinker. Lamela was about 1cm away from a goal.

Half expected us to lose, as Pearson has had Watford on Liverpool form, but SC has still fallen apart at the seams regardless.

Two crucial differences for me. One, the offside technology is good, but not yet objective - it isn't perfect at measuring the frame at which the ball left the boot, and I don't think it can ever be perfect at measuring where the body ends and the arm starts. Secondly,

i agree it works, I think offside works too! Sure, you have to decide on framerate rule, I don’t see the need to get worked up over 1/24 of a second, just decide the frame before at or after and apply to all.

Strange - I thought Winks was fine

This isn't good enough, we have better players than Watford but you wouldn't know it from that game.
Not many pundits predicted that we would win today. I personally would rather have Doucoure than Winks, Deeney over Moura, and Saar over Lamela.
