No goals in open play in 3 games, no goals at all in our last 2 & that was WITH Kane :(

It's an odd game, not one thing nor t'other. Early on, there was a lot of very stylish and focused midfield play from Lo Celso, Alli and Lamela, but it all went nowhere in particular, because Watford were very organised and we couldn't get any shots off.

Then Watford gradually started to boss the game, but they couldn't take advantage of our increasingly twitchy defence.

Both teams are playing an attacking game, except early on when Watford packed the box, but there have been very few chances.

I thought our midfield would be the area we would struggle, but it's been the only part of the pitch where we have outplayed them. Go figure.

At least we got to half time without conceding the first goal. It's been awhile...

Midfield reminds me of when we played Liverpool several years ago. They had 3 ball playing CM's and we had Sandro and 2 other brick walls... Liverpool ran circles around us. The big difference now is Pool had 3 performing forwards whereas as Moura for all his effort isn't really a striker, Lamela has done nawt and Son has been shit since his worldie v Burnley.

I will do for sure, if the same remarks are made.

There are seven or eight Watford players in the box and we have Lucas and we have Son of which Lucas is the only one who can perhaps head it.

:) x

It's much better to get the cross in having their defenders deal with it than having a touch only to cross it into the defender. And that time we had players there otherwise why did he cross it after his first touch?

We just do t look like we are going to score. No-one can give it a buff from outside the box and no target to get on the end of the balls in.

Best chance will come from the counter attack

Still think the penalty should have been given, if your arm out wide pushing an opponent is a natural position I'm married to a monkey's aunt.

Tanganga is doing ok and shame about the yellow card he caught him accidentally but since that they have been testing him and with Son ahead of him on the left wing he's not going to get any help there.
Sarr got him booked by throwing himself to the floor it was pathetic Japhet hardly touched him, agree hes done ok today. Id maybe put Sessegnon there second half though just incase he runs the risk of a second yellow.

Spot on. We've built our team around a Number 9 when he gets injured literally every year for large amounts of time and has a pesistent dodgy ankle. And don't even have a backup to him.

I am totally convinced that had this be Liverpool Capoue would be off the field. They probably would have had that pen as well. Refereeing decisions in this league are questionably at best.

Winks doesn’t have the awareness of what’s around him either defensively or in the ball. The amount of times he could let the ball run across his body or choose a better pass and he nearly always chooses the wrong option. He can do better that’s the frustrating thing.

What did he say?

Mentioned son getting sent off for nothing against the boy who cried wolf rudiger, and how the situation wasn’t too dissimilar with what happened between capoue and The Japhet. He also mentioned how on Earth they came up with 2 minutes of stoppage time when they timed ref’s tampon change break at close to 3 minutes (I was wrong about it being closer to 4). Peter Walton said he thought the challenge was a yellow and VAR shouldn’t be checking those because it longs out the game, he had no excuse for the ridiculous stoppage time though.

Yes it was an accidental coming together and Capoue gets nothing for a carrer ending tackle. Robertson one as well. Tanganna done them a favour not making much of it but both should have been red.
