He is saying in the post match prezzer that the players are out on their feet?

Quite obvious that the second half we were a lot better when those same players should have been more fatigued?

That was due to a change in tactics not tired players.

He's hiding behind his ineptness.

There is not a single redeeming quality to keeping Ange aside from that people are afraid of the unknown. Wells and Mason could not possibly do a worse job than he has done and that is a fact. Season all but over and we’re at the start of February. Fucking disgraceful, and for all that Levy has done wrong does not absolve the fact that Ange is the worst coach by a mile this league.
Not sure how long you’ve been following Spurs but the season all but over in February, which is not strictly true, has not been an anomaly for us in the last few decades.

At one time Telemans was stood on the halfway line with all 3 of our midfielders in their half. Ball was just passed straight to him and off he went. The players are not playing like that because they want to. That is the tactic he employs. Everybody forward and hope for the best.
Something has to change. If he loses to Utd he is gone. Some of those players look fed up.
We can’t go on like this. Christ, we are far worse now than when Poch was sacked.

Unless Poch can come right now, I don’t think any of the options of the solutions currently available to us (including Ange staying) is going to do any good.
Why do people still cling to the belief that Poch is our Messiah. He had his shot and although he wasn’t fully backed by the board he did not win anything when he had many opportunities to do so. This is not me slagging Poch off just pointing out the facts instead of spinning fairy tales.

I don’t really get what point you’re making? Cause we were this bad in the 2000s and worse in the 90s that we should accept being out both domestic cups and looking at a bottom half finish just cause we’re still in the Europa League?

Just cause things were this bad and at times worse 20+ years ago that doesn’t make it a complete disaster now. Things are so different now than they were back then, we weren’t the 8th richest club in the world back then, in a state of the art stadium, paying the highest prices in the league all to have our mediocre squad (which is a conversation for another thread) ran by a guy completely out of his depth.

We absolutely dominated Leicester and should have won it by a margin but they got a draw and made it look respectable, bit like our game today but we only lost 2-1
Villa went ahead and sat back because that is the way to play us. Big holes in midfield as per usual .
Our Aussie is starting to resemble the original Ossie. Wide open football and a few hammerings. What is the connection…….both won the Japanese League title.
If there is a team worse than us it’s Man Utd. We shall see on Sunday.

Is anyone actually surprised by this result though? Villa are a much better side than us currently.

It's not the result that is the issue, (which could have been a complete humiliation) it's the manner of the defeat.

The excuse of playing eighteen year old's I also have sympathy for, but Ange brought those players in. He could have brought in more experienced players, and possibly a couple of youngsters, not Odobert, Gray, Bergvall, Kinsky and Tel for example?

When three or four players began to pick up injuries, at that point he should have taken a step back and looked to what happened at Celtic under his stewardship?

He didn't because of his arrogance.

Why haven't the physios and his coaching team approached him with what they are seeing?

This whole soap opera doesn't revolve around lack of signings, money paid on wages or anything to do with that. We are where we are as a result of poor management, recruitment, and training methods.

Ange says the buck stops with him.

Son only touched the ball 16 times? Considering it’s taking him three touches to get the ball under control at the moment that’s awful.
Got to be benched for Moore next game as he’s bringing nothing to the party at the moment
It was a mistake making him captain. I don’t believe a forward should be captain. They’re not in an ideal position to influence the actions of others and if they go through a goal drought it’s more difficult to bench them.

What's worse is that look how many Villa were missing.

Every single senior centre back - ended up with two midfielders playing there for most of the game.
No Cash at RB.
No Onana, no Barkley in midfield.
No Watkins up front, sold Duran.

Still got on with it, still had some coherence to their play, and should have knocked about half a dozen past us.

Damning.
