Can only see this happening if we sell Richy and even then, we'll still need to convince Viktor's Portuguese girlfriend that she's nothing to fear from Viktor coming to a club where his ex (Amanda Nilden) plays.

Yeah my gooner brother in law thought they were getting this bloke a month ago. Sesko before that.

He wasn't even at the Euros. Not sure what's going on really.

Maybe some teams are scrambling to secure a big sale or two to fund a move?

Maybe everyone has Osimhen first choice and are waiting for dominos to fall? He could set the market.

There are definitely some interesting names out there:

Gyokeres
Isak
Osihmhen
Kolo Muani
Openda
Sesko
Toney

I expect at least half of those to move this summer.

Sesko signed a new deal just before the Euros I think... won't be moving until next year at least I reckon

He only had one really good season. He could literally be our next Chris Armstrong or Sergei Rebrov

The mandatory highlights vid here for those who want a snapshot view of him. 43 goals and 15 assists in 50 games last season.

Never seen him play before.
Heard the hype.
Now I have seen a highlight reel.
Buy him at all costs.
Wow.

Have to say, the CF situation has been odd.

So many CFs linked with teams like Arsenal and others who need CFs yet hardly any solid links/movement.

Have we been biding our time?

Or more likely we just aren’t buying a striker (which would be a mistake).

someone in the comments describes him as Luis Suarez + Harry Kane. I was watching the first half of the vid thinking this looks like Kane from 2015-2018.

This link infuriates me, loved him when he was at Coventry and thought someone should take a punt on him and now here we are with a figure of £80m being bandied about.

I think he has all the tools to smash it in the Prem, and despite it apparently being £80m for him, that wouldn't put me off in the slightest.

I think he'd fit like a glove. Great all round ability and work ethic and just the clinical finisher we've been crying out for. He'd take us to another level imo.

Could've signed Gyokeres for £20m, now potentially paying 3-4 times that. Could've signed Maddison for £20m, paid £40m. Could've signed Eze for £20m, now potentially paying £60m. We need to be better at taking risks early, we waste so much money paying the middle clubs.

Horrible to think about isn’t it (and don’t forget Eze…). Thankfully, Sarr, Udogie, Bergvall and Gray seem to show that we have realised this now

Yes and no.
At the time these players were available for the lower fees, would they have come knowing they were second fiddle to player x or y?

Even if yes, do they develop the same way with less game time and experience?
