Is he a late bloomer?

26 already.

2 decent seasons in the Championship, with Coventry. And then 1 exceptional season with Sporting.

Can he cut it in the Premier league. ?

Seems a huge risk for the prices being quoted. If it was £30 million he’d be worth a go but not at £80m plus. Insanity.

He's absolutely mustard. Would be all for selling Richarlison and replacing him with Gyokeres.

Not as confident at £80m mind

I mean swapping Richy for him isn't so crazy fi the profit was £20m. It seems like we'd have to spend £20m do so though.

Pass. Just can't see the club dropping £80m on a player of his profile tbh.

Spicy link. Did well for Coventry and then slapped it up in Portugal when people expected him to be PL bound.

If Richy goes to Saudi I could see this being a great option. We have history of dealing with sporting too.

Have to say, the CF situation has been odd.

So many CFs linked with teams like Arsenal and others who need CFs yet hardly any solid links/movement.

Have we been biding our time?

Yeah my gooner brother in law thought they were getting this bloke a month ago. Sesko before that.

He wasn't even at the Euros. Not sure what's going on really.

Maybe some teams are scrambling to secure a big sale or two to fund a move?

Maybe everyone has Osimhen first choice and are waiting for dominos to fall? He could set the market.

There are definitely some interesting names out there:

Gyokeres
Isak
Osihmhen
Kolo Muani
Openda
Sesko
Toney

I expect at least half of those to move this summer.

Me trying to figure out how we make it all work and fudge the numbers because of Edwards’ sell on clause

Oh no, no, no. You're not getting my hopes up for another big signing. No way. Not happening.

Anyway, is anyone keeping an eye on his IG likes and flight tracker or should I do it?

An absolute unit and pressing menace with good vision, hold-up play, and quick feet. A fantastic finisher too.
Think there is little to no chance this happens, but I don't think there's any other available striker out there I'd rather want.

From an earlier post it sounds like Sporting have dropped their asking price so it wouldn't be 80m.
If it's a swap essentially then could be possible. Injuries aside, I wonder how Richy would do in Portugal. Reckon he'd smash it. Those injuries though...

The mandatory highlights vid here for those who want a snapshot view of him. 43 goals and 15 assists in 50 games last season.

If Porro was worth £40m (and I believe it was worth paying his release clause for what we got), I’d say this bloke would be worth paying £80m for. If we get him for any less, fantastic - but great that he’s even in the conversation.

Unfortunately i think the market for cf’s at the moment is around 80m for a half proven punt. I think that’s just the reality of where we’re at

GMS sources have been informed that Tottenham could make a surprise move for Gyokeres if assurances are given that he can be acquired at a bargain price despite scoring 43 goals during his debut season at the Jose Alvalade Stadium, resulting in Richarlison's future on the north Londoners' books being in danger.

Could make a surprise move if he's available for less than his buyout clause. Okay then.
