I'm tempted to ask by whom but I guess if you've entered the coal face with this we don't need to know. 😊
This is good news isn't it, let's hope it's a quiet under the radar (mostly) that just broke cover as we've got close to the end.

I've googled him so am now an authority. 29 in 33 with 10 assists sounds quite good.

Who actually knows anything tangible about him?

Can only see this happening if we sell Richy and even then, we'll still need to convince Viktor we're the right club for him.

Can only see this happening if we sell Richy and even then, we'll still need to convince Viktor's Portuguese girlfriend that she's nothing to fear from Viktor coming to a club where his ex (Amanda Nilden) plays.

I had a Benfica fan the other day telling me how good this guy has been for Sporting. Said it felt like he was scoring every game, and that he just doesn't stop running. Have never watched him myself, but sounded very ideal for Ange.

He's one of the best no.9 type strikers in Europe and on the wanted list of most top clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, and anyone who could entertain his £84m release clause.

Some talk in recent days that Sporting might negotiate.

Fair to say we'd have a challenge on our hands to get him, but can't fault the ambition.

He plays similar to a younger Kane when he could run and press and before he want all playmaker like.

Possibly a little better in the air but less De Bruyne levels of passing.

Brilliant player.

Is he a late bloomer?

26 already.

2 decent seasons in the Championship, with Coventry. And then 1 exceptional season with Sporting.

Can he cut it in the Premier league. ?

Wonder if Edwards' buy back clause can be worked in to this, if we are indeed serious.

As much as you can have confidence with any striker, yes. His style would be a natural fit for our system and obviously very much used to the English league and its demands - perhaps more so at Coventry - plus another compatriot for Deki and of course Bergvall.

Unfortunately didn’t obtain HG status as would have been another big plus point to him over other prospective striking candidates.

He was on my wish list this summer until I heard we were looking to splash the cash on Neto+Eze/Doue. If he's available I think we'd be mad not to go for him, especially if Richy is of interest to the Saudi League(?).
