Thats two recent interviews by Vertonghen - he seems in the press more now than before. This is a reasonably measured response to a catastrophic result. What the team now need to do is to beat Bayen away - that more than anything would help put this to bed. A tough ask!

This might be a good point to change the captaincy to Kane - signal a new start. A return for Dier perhaps. Aurier has blown it!

I'm expecting to hear something from Lloris, as the captain. Will be very dissapointed otherwise.

I'd say the right immediate response, is to have an honest internal review of attitude and performance, and then go and smash Brighton.

Leave all media responses to what is absolutely necessary and contractual.

The fan's don't really want to hear anything verbal from this group right now, we want to see a change on the pitch, starting this Saturday @ noon.

I agree with Kane for the Captain's armband, but we should leave that till the end of the season, hence it will look to reactionary
