I would rather not know to be honest. Cause if he turns out to be great for manure and Poch gets sacked after six months, it will be a painful reminder of what could have been... However for some reason I'm quietly confident that we'll finish above them again next season!

I think he may well live up to his 'loose cannon' reputation at Utd.

Not much of a supporter if he would turn us down. I can understand why he would choose Man Utd and have the chance to make a name for himself there. But still hurts to think he considers himself a fan, but wouldn't want the opportunity to make us great again.
Hopefully it proves too much even for LVG. They need a miracle.

United is one of the biggest names in Club football you can't blame the guy, it's going to be the last club he ever manages. No point worrying about it. Get behind Poch and give him time, don't worry about other clubs and consintrate on our own.

Agreed. The ManU job is a terrific challenge for someone who doesn't have a mortgage or school fees to pay. LvG will have to acquire up to 7 world class players (each one costing a world-class fee and expecting a world class salary), get the entire ManU squad to forget the SAF era, and knuckle down to achieve CL qualification at the first attempt. I suspect it's a job that's perfect for LvG but, if it doesn't work out, he won't be that bothered.
Poch still has a lot to prove, but he's inherited a decent squad (albeit with a couple of obvious flaws) and, as there have been strong hints that the senior players have been crying out for a credible coach, there's every chance they'll respond positively to his arrival.
I think both clubs have ended up with the right man.

He used us to announce his availability to the premier league bigger sides.
He was never coming to us, and he adds insult to injury by still pretending that it was a really close thing. We are not that stupid.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Moyes got sacked 2 or 3 mths later. LVG at us, when suddenly Man Utd vacancy pops up....... would he have gone then?

The fact that it's the Daily Mail makes me think that this is the beginning of the war to undermine MP, whose crimes are that he's not a Redknapp, not British and not Tim Sherwood. Ashton and Samuel are two cheeks of the same arse.

He's an extremely successful manager, but has apoor record at some clubs. Be interesting to see if he can shape a squad in the PL quickly. Man Ure will never be the dominating side they once were as they simply cannot match the spending power of the top five or six European clubs.
