I would say that most Spurs fans are completely indifferent to Man City. Until they got some money nobody took them seriously . Now they have masses of dosh and they are going to finish only 10th not only are they not to be taken seriously but they are a complete joke. If Mark Hughes keeps his job having been given all this money. it will be amazing. The fact that we are apparently their second most hated team is even more funny. But i guess being managed by Hughes is enough to make them as depressed as we were under the man in the raincoat.

United tried to copy it at wigan the other night but they just couldnt pull it off the same. Still annoying that they think they have the divine right to pinch anything they want though. Players, songs ... whats next!?!

My brother-in-law's one, and if one of his sons hadn't suddenly decided he could make the game after all I'd have been sitting in with these saddoes. They dropped round after the game and I couldn't help being smug and self-satisfied. Am I a bad person because of this?

Basically, if Given hadn't turned in his usual top-drawer performance against us we could have taken off our entire team and substituted them with the Dagenham Girl Pipers and still held on for the win.

I should add that my relatives are sensible about this and accept their team's inferiority.

I just saw it on the telly, but from what I saw/heard the WHL was quiet today. Freinds who are Newcastle fans also told me they where disappointed whit the crowd when they where there. As I'm not living in England I don't watch more than 6-7 games at the lane pr season, and I wonder how it will be when it's 60k each games as it's so many "supporters" who just got a ticket to watch and to be entertained...

I've visited the site a few times over the season, their main grievance with us is our fans constantly talking about what a big club we are. Before the first game against them Corluka came out with the usual "I joined Spurs as I wanted to play for a big club". This pissed them off no end.

The way they see it is they have the money and more potential than us to crack the top four but at the moment we are rivals and this has created tension where there wasn't before.

Liam was funny though , giving everyone two fingers and then tryna make it a victory sign...that Outta Time track is good too .

Lets face it them City fans are up against it with that other lot in their town ,we should allow 'em some bitterness on that particular day .

Of course with their money City will/should eventually be top 6 contenders

fact remains they haven't been a major force for years - just 10 years ago I think I saw recently in a game preview they were in lge one (div 3) - and I remember that play off final- they were well lucky to beat Gillingham - yep that's right Gillingham

It must be over one hundred years since we were in such a low position as city fell in the 80s/90s - that's how far we've been ahead of them for the past 30 years or so

in fact the 81 final was quite a watershed for the clubs - we won and went on a six trophy winning spree up to this season - they lost and are still potless since then

great final by the way

and I think to call Hod's goal in the first final a fluke is a bit harsh - glenn took a free kick as he did so many times for us successfully over the years - the ball wouldn't have gone in true, as Corrigan had it covered- but as ronaldo will tell you keep buying the tickets sometimes you win the lottery (or some portugese equivalent :)

Hod's shot hit hutchinson and went in

it was credited it as an og for hutchinson - but I think that's harsh on Hod because AFAIK the shot was goal-bound so under current criteria Hod would be given the goal and rightly so - we only score cos Hod hits a goal bound free kick and we get lucky

incidentally in that first final City were very negative with players like Gow doing a number on hod and ardilles - so it was a fitting victory for football when our extra skill and flair prevailed - great goal by Mackenzie BTW for them - one of the few times he justified his mega transfer fee IIRC

I was in block 36 and there was some fans doing their best to wind them up. It was the same from them. They probably thought we where quiet because they didn't sell their allocation so it was a real mixed bag next to them.

I was right next to the away support for this one - it was quality! But it got to the stage when it was getting personal - One city fan was shouting you fat b****rd and he was extremely fat himself. Once we heard him we really ripped the piss out of him

They kept taking the piss at one of our fans because he was ginger. Every song we sang they sang exactly the same in a very sarcastic voice which got a few of us wound up

they were singing ledley's on the piss, ledley ledley's on the piss and 3-0 and you fucked it up, we only had 10 men ect ect

Ah they kept sing "we will buy your club and burn it down, buy your club and burn it down" which they probably sing to every side
