From that point of view, Italy might be about to have a setback. Fiorentina are at 4-4 on aggregate at Puskas Academy, in extra time, and just gone down to 9 men. If the Hungarians can get another goal, Italy losing a team this early would be a huge blow to them.

Quite a lot of luck involved in the draw still.

One extreme has us play Ajax, Slavia Prague, Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Ferencvaros, Ludogorets, Malmö, RFS and Elfsborg.

The other has us play Roma, Frankfurt, Sociedad, Lyon, Galatasaray, Plzen, Bilbao and Hoffenheim.

To be honest, I'd almost rather our draw skewed towards the harder end. I'd still fancy us to progress, it'd give us better experience ahead of hopefully a UCL run next year, and it'd be a lot more fun.

Yes although our transfer window is going to come back and bite us there. When we want / need to rotate out Porro and Udogie, because we have no left back Spence will have to play there, out of position. And Gray won't get the chance to settle into playing number 6 for us because he'll have to fill in at right back. Meaning we will also be unable to rest senior midfield players as Gray won't be available to play in midfield... All because we didn't sign a left back.

Our depth isn't really that great. One injury to a centre back or god forbid Destiny and we are incredibly light.

Van Bommel looks to be quite a tidy player so far and has made me feel really old.
Troy nearly got a second but strayed offside when he really shouldn't have.
Been busy though.

Elfsborg haven't looked terrible either though, not seeing much of the ball but have created some dangerous chances.

And Parrott just fouled when through on goal resulting in a red card for the Elf skipper.

I would have loved for Spurs to play Glimt but an away game up north there would have been such a banana skin waiting to happen. They are proper good on that artificial pitch.

Pavlyuchenko saved us with a goal that made it possible to turn it around on home soil. Otherwise we'd have no Champions League and it would have been as embarrassing as Everton's only CL attempt so far.
