16 points would almost definitely be enough, but 15 points would also be a 75% chance (quite possibly coming down to goal difference). 14 with a strong goal difference (e.g. we get a draw and a narrow loss from our next two but batter Elfsborg) is less likely but not impossible. So really we need 5-6 more points from Hoffenheim A, Rangers A, and Elfsborg H.

Hoffenheim are having a poor season, just lost 3-0 to Braga and are 13th in the league. Elfsborg shouldn't be any sort of match for us at home. Rangers have been poor domestically but had some good results in Europe.
I'll be very disappointed if we don't get at least 7 points from those three.

Looking good on the coefficient front for the extra champ lge place. England top 11.3 average. We need to keep ahead of Italy and Germany . Germany are 4th a full 2 pts average behind us. They have 8 teams so need 16 points more than us to catch us. Looking at upcoming Euro fixtures for our teams, we will be miles clear at the end of the league phase. If they can all get through to the last 16 it should happen.
Will be a big surprise if Chelsea don’t win every game, some rubbish in that comp.

In theory we have our 2 easiest games left in that Hoffenheim and Elfsborg were in the bottom group in the draw . A number of the teams in the top 8 are playing each other also.
But then again Athletico Bilbao were in the bottom group and they are up near the top of the league.
Just shows how hard it is to judge this sort of league when everybody does not play everyone else.
