All in all a very good week for the English coefficient with a lot of clubs from rival nations dropping points and England winning six of seven.

Fifth place getting CL next season is definitely on.

Forgot about that, not that we need to worry about then when we lift the Europa league at the end of the season.

Portugal and the Czechs are currently top 2 in the co efficient race. Mainly down to a lot of points during the qualifiers. We are third . Matter of time till we go top. Spain struggling cos Girona are crap .
Cost us last season when Utd and Newcastle failed to get third in their groups so not dropping into Europa .
That doesn’t apply with the new league set up so I confidently expect us to get in the top 2.
Kassiesa.net has the info on Country Coefficients.

England a lot lower down than 3rd when I check it out.

When I put it into points per team it looks like this

Above all the other big teams, and will close that gap quick enough as long as the English clubs keep picking up points like they do (and anything united gets as a bonus)

This doesn't include bonus points by the look of it. 24 of England's 47 total points is bonus points (for position in the leagues) which Kassiesa includes - https://kassiesa.net/uefa/data/method5/ccoef2025.html.

Obviously early days for league position points, but it's early days for everything coefficient related anyway.

Ah. 6 bonus points is minimum bonus for CL league, while the minimum is 0 in EL and conference. So the minimum bonis points you will get is added.

I'm done waffling, monologue over.

So it's October, already wondering if we need to be in the race for 4th....or 5th....

Much better start for the England coefficient this season. Currently 1st out of the countries you expect to be in the contention for top 2 and that extra CL spot

They need to look the other way and allow that goal

I’m taking the mindset that top 4 gets UCL.

I don’t like this idea that we should be cheering on our English rivals in Europe for the sake of coefficient points. I love seeing them lose too much.

So top 4 in my mind gets you a UCL spot. Come end of March is when I’ll take a look to see if there’s a bonus spot available. If not, no biggy. But until then, fuck you Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, City, Villa and Utd.

Two EL games today and both already finished for some bizarre reason I haven't bothered looking into, including two of our upcoming opponents.

Galatasaray and Bodø/Glimt have both started well, seven points already.

When you initially see this you may think Fenerbache went down to ten men, but no, they highlighted Mourinho getting sent off 😂
