Openda is brilliant.
Would be a great link up for Solanke.

In fact, I'm seeing a lot of players in this comp that would greatly improve us and not cost over the odds.

Lookman, too. He's really come into his own and would be better than Johnson and Werner (possibly Son)

What a nightmare CL campaign for Leipzig. No points after 6 matches and the first team to be officially eliminated from any of the 3 competitions.

City v PSG next round should be an amazing game.

Have to say I thought the new format wouldn’t work but it’s been great.
Better quality, more jeopardy, less dead rubbers.

Villa losing tonight is interesting. Essentially means their top 8 fate isn't in their own hands anymore, and could end up playing in a play-off game.

The first leg of the play-off is immediately after our FA Cup tie. Obviously we could be in a play-off too, but if we manage to avoid it and they don't I can imagine they'd fully prioritise their CL games.

If it happens, they will have their first play off game 3 days after our FA cup tie.

Which is something, I guess.

Villa's last game is home to Celtic, who play Young Boys at home tonight, who themselves have lost every game so far so you'd expect Celtic to win and if they do they will move onto 12 points with Villa going the game with Celtic on 13, so makes that game quite interesting.

Oh Chesney again. He's having a nightmare. Crashed into Balde allowing Benfica to score their second and he's just given away a penalty.

Luuk de Jong with two goals so far tonight, played for Twente when Spurs faced them in our first ever CL group stage participation.

Now a red card for PSV... and a fun fact 😁

1+1 – Ryan Flamingo is the first Dutch player with both a goal and a red card in a Champions League match since Rafael van der Vaart in September 2010 (for Tottenham Hotspur against FC Twente).

Is that the same game you are referring to ? (Spurs CL group stage debut)

Will he be able to appeal the red card, do you think? Or does Flamingo not have a leg to stand on?

Incredible game but that looks like a penalty for Benfica IMO.

Surely they should tell the ref to review it.
