Nope it’s terrible, there’s no drama or edge to any of the games.

The format of four team groups used to mean each game counted and even if you lost away it was fine as you’d get to play them back at your own ground.

Very rare that any groups were done and dusted before the final game and every team had something to play for. This format the last game will decide if you finish 12th or 22nd. Neither makes any shred of difference as the top 24 teams qualify.

Pure TV focus to ensure you have one big name match on TV each week but the games don’t feel big as there’s nothing ‘on’ it
True although I remember City, Madrid, Bayern etc would regularly comfortably win their groups but at the same time some of the groups used to be really tight.

Overall I think the groups had a lot more drama whereas this huge league seems a bit soulless.

There'll be drama on the final game when three points gets you into the knockouts/top 24. People just aren't used to it at the moment and generally don't like change. It gives the lesser sides a chance to go through and I prefer that over the same clubs winning their groups every year by game 4 or 5.

Did the Man City kit man mess up? Why have all the City players' names been written on the back of their shirts with a marker pen?

Budget cuts, they need to pay for all those lawyers some how!

That's their champions League text for players names. The design is based on Gallagher's (oasis) handwriting

The ref in the Bayern/PSG game must be bored, ridiculous decision to send off Dembele and also not play the advantage.

City being...well City! Could be carnage for them Vs Liverpool if they play like this.
