Have we broken City and Villa in a week?
Villa have three wins from three so like us can afford to rest players in an away game. Won't read too much into this result if that's how it ends.

Didn't Gabriel do this in the derby last season? I seem to remember some fuss about that.
I'm sure I saw another pen given for exactly the same thing not too long ago, probably in the rubbish football thread, not sure what game/league it was in though?

It was a stupid penalty but a penalty all day long for me.

It's 100% a penalty. Mings' fault he either isn't paying attention or thought he could get away with it.

It's weird because I used to watch the CL and root for the English teams but these days, I find myself hoping to see them fail.
Like tonight, I sat down in front of the telly hoping to see Villa, and then Arsenal lose.

It must be down to social media and how twatish their fans come across nowadays.

Definitely. I sat with my mates in 2005 wanting Liverpool to win that final. It was only Arsenal and Chelsea I wanted to lose in those competitions.

Now wouldn't dream of wishing well on any of them.

After all Martinez’s shithousery over the last few seasons he was due a kick up the arse. Not his fault I suppose but great entertainment anyway,
Laws state that kick can be taken anywhere in the goal area. Does that mean the whole pen area or just the six yard box.

Anywhere inside the six yard box

City, I agree. They will come back strong and win the title. It's what they do. Villa, they are not as strong and like many teams in the recent past, have a couple of decent seasons, then drift away. I expect the same for Villa. I doubt Villa will finish top 5 this year.

Social media generally brings out worst in people. Football fans in particular are insufferable.

To be fair still rooting for Villa to have a good run. Regardless of some of their fans, it's nice to see a different team in there and hope they get well into the knockouts. Plus from spurs perspective, hoping it interrupts their league campaign too.

Arseholes look a bit speculative, but they’ll probably jam an opportunity from somewhere. Bit of a dull game so far, although I haven’t been giving it my fullest attention, admittedly.

That was dangerous play on that corner - the Arsenal players just bulldozed their way in towards goal creating mayhem and took out Dumfries instead of the keeper

I couldn't care less about that to be honest, too many teams get into what should be an elite competition.

You play in the CL because you've earned it by finishing high in the league.
Really, it should just be the top two from each league but money doesn't allow that so it's top four.
Any league having 5 spots is too much.

Classic Arsenal these days.

Inter have been a bit too wasteful.
