I'll be in work Monday but I'll see what I can do.

As long as it goes in it should work. I just thought if there was a flood of them it would have more of an effect, but if you can't do it at the time I'd still say it was worth doing after . If we can get a journo to retweet then we are in the money - the thousands of spurs fans following them will re-do it.

Let's hope so! Let's get the media talking about us signing a bloody player rather than selling!!!

get spurs a striker? It sounds like a charity drive...I don't understand, it's being sent to journalists? What are they meant to do with it?

What you should do is to start a campaign for a specific player to sign for us... But don't take it very seriously, make it a kind of joke or meme - The thing is this would get the other messages across in a way that means the press/other fans won't mock you.

Plus it has more viral potential - 'Spurs fans in campaign to sign player X, how weird, tell me more...' 'They'll even have a bake-sale to pay some of his wages, wowza'

won't this just make us all look like mugs when somebody is sold? I'm fairly sure that Levy does not check twitter when making a decision anyway.

I thought the point of this was to deflect away from Modric Out stories, and get journalists thinking about stories for strikers?

Really need a famous spurs fan to do it to get it out more.

That's why I'm targetting the journo's - a lot of the ones listed are spurs fans. Could try alan sugar (he's still involved in the club as well :) ) and Michael McIntyre

Just someone that makes readers think 'how odd'. Don't say: Sign X, instead say: Bring X home!

We're the club known for having deep relationships with players who never actually end up signing for us and send us letters. You can play it as a joke and avoid mockery, avoid insulting the strikers we already have - but use it as a vehicle for spreading your views.

Bring Eto'o to Spurs! #eto'o4spurs

...and tweet it to Eto'o himself, infact bombard his account (if he has one)... Show him the love!

Now I don't know whether to change it or not!

Would that have more effect than the original idea? need opinions guys!

I'd like to add my support, even though I hate the likes of twitter/Facebook with every fibre of my being.

Can someone send a tweety (or whatever they're called) on my behalf?

Thanks.

Maybe the campaign needs to be twofold.

Message to journos/media types - we ain't no feeder club/no more selling to man Utd etc.

Message to Levy and the board - put your money where your mouth is and buy us back to the summit of endlish football.

Or words to that effect.
