Hopefully he’s the new Keano. At his best playing on the shoulder of the last defender.

His brother regularly delivers into where I work so I've gotten to know him quite well recently. Constantly wearing Spurs gear as well so he's tops in my books.

I'm always asking him for bits of info he gets out Troy. The one thing he always says he hears is that Edwards is a bit of a knob

Keeper sent off during penalties? :(

Ye, he did look like he came far off initially but didn't think it was spotted. He celebrated, then got a 2nd yellow. CB went in goal, and the Dutch player (Chelsea striker) scored the retake.

Parrott couldn't have done much more throughout the tournamnet

An absolute disgrace..What a fucking fix that is.

Every keeper moves slightly. Keeper still on his line when the ball is kicked.

How can you book a keeper in a penalty shootout.

Corrupt wankers

Dutch keeper was off his line on almost every penalty, including the first one which he saved.

Cheating bastards

Poor kid. Is that a genuine yellow card offense?
Yes. On kicks from the mark, the offender is booked. If it's the GK, the kick is retaken. If it's the attacker, the kick is recorded as missed.
Incidentally, if both offend at the same time and the kick is missed, the goal is retaken and both players are cautioned. If the kick is scored, the goal is disallowed and recorded as missed and the kicker is cautioned.

Watched this tonight and thought it was a disgrace from the ref, horrible thing to happen to a young player seems the ref had also warned the Dutch keeper twice for moving off his line.

This kid looks class.

I can totally see why scouts might think he’d be on our bench next season. He has the size and physicality that many kids don’t have until their early 20s.

No need for unnecessary pressure, of course, but sometimes you can just see it when a kid has the lot. Same with Bale when he was at Saints.

Scandalous

I wonder what the penalty was for and what the first yellow was. If they were both soft, then something was seriously amiss with this game and it wouldnt surprise me if the gambling markets overseeing group have flagged this game. Because holy hell that’s an absurdly ridiculous decision. So awful and so uncommon that it makes you seriously wonder if match fixing was at play. The kid was clearly on his line

It was in a shootout where the ref had warned both keepers multiple times. In the end he was looking for it though - keeper wasn’t off his line for the one he was actually punished for. Bizarre; keepers are off their line for the majority of penalties, and the first time you ever see a yellow for it, the keeper actually fairly saved it.
