Personally I think Edwards makes more sense than KWP. I don’t see KWP as a huge upgrade on just using Gray at RB to replace Royal. I think Edwards is a good stylistic fit (maybe not off the ball?) and he is much better than Gil. He would definitely offer us something from the bench and in rotation.
kwp profiles well for either fb role and we currently have no one to come in for udogie unless you're going to keep shifting vdv out there, which i don't think is a good idea. davies, if he stays, should only be seen as a cb.

Yeah, he could play LB but I think the plan will be to bring in a player who can play both LCB and LB to replace Davies as is the trend nowadays.

Confident prediction that he scores 20 plus goals and ends the season worth twice the fee.

There's absolutely no chance Levy opted out of a sell-on or buy-back clause of some sort for Troy.

If he has a breakout season, other better teams in the Eredivisie or even Bundesliga will be looking to sign him the following season.

Maybe he just wants to play football rather than be a bench option behind Richy and Son
This is what I think too. Different players have different mindsets. Some are happy to be part of a squad, being used for specific roles in specific games. That's all good. Troy probably just really likes playing football. Lots and lots of football. And would rather be on the pitch at a lower level than on the bench at a higher level, especially as that is what he's got used to over the last year.

Good for him, I hope he does well.

Hope he smashes it for AZ and glad for the sell on clause but i'm not sure it's the right message sent out considering he had such a successful loan and didn't even get a pre season to prove himself at this club.

Will judge properly on the merits of the rest of our transfer business.

Think it's a great move for him. For a club to break their transfer record he will be billed as the main man. It's good for us as if he does do well then no chance AZ keep hold of him

Could easily see him being sold for 20mil in a couple of seasons after scoring goals in that shit league. So adding 4m to the 7m we got is more than acceptable

I actually think he wanted to leave and be the main man rather than be out of the match day league squads and rock up on the bench for Europa games

NGL, I was hoping for a minor redemption arc and the once prodigy finally coming good here. But never mind, he finally found his feet and AZ is a damned good club to develop further and hopefully move on up to bigger and better things in the future.

All the best to him.

Thought this could be his break through season at Spurs - never had the opportunity to shine with pre-season injuries

Wish him all the best at Alkmaar - may he get the career he deserves.

Really pleased for the lad as I think this is much better for him than hanging around hoping for minutes in the Europa.

Hope he smashes it over there.

Can’t blame him, he’s just come off a great season and if he’s sat down and been told he’ll be no3/4/5 up top why would he want to hang around?

But his great season doesn't merit for higher spot on Spurs hierarchy, does it? 10 on 25 at regular season on Eredivisie for 22 year old. It is good enough for AZ, but nobody would want us to sign such a striker, would they? Would say underwhelming at best. Having said that, hope he has good career and makes it at AZ and beyond

The thing about Parrott is that he’s spent the last two seasons at clubs that do not create many chances. This makes it very difficult to assess his potential based on stats. My feeling though, on what I have seen of him, is that next season at AZ he will put up the sort of figures that would have put him on our radar.
