If we don't sign a striker we will definitely need one of our younger ones in the squad with the additional European games next season.

With Parrott coming back from a brilliant loan and with Veliz and Scarlett needing a good loan themselves, there is an argument to be made.

Pre-season will decide it I guess.
There’s an argument to made that obviously with one year left on his deal this is the time to sell him. Plus after what appears to be a successful loan for him personally (even if Excelsior got relegated) that this is also when he’s got the most exposure to be sold for the most amount of money. I would like him to stay though. I’d offer him a new deal and keep him and Lankshear around the first team with Scarlett and Veliz sent out on loan.

Given it won't be huge money whatever happens, I don't think maximising the price should be our main aim. Better to make it clear tha we're supporting him to get the best deal for his future. There will be other kids coming through, who'll watch what happens to Troy.

Whether it's with us, out on loan or sold, I hope we do what's right for him.

We need to show the youth players there is a pathway to a successful career, even if it's not with us.

Yeah the good thing is I think he's going to have a nice career whatever he does as long as his injury issues are behind him

Yeah, game today had him down as the striker with 2 wide players.

Good to see Harry's missus getting game time at LB. Maybe she can cover Udogie..

Troy might want to leave on his own accord due to knowing he won't get the required game time here. It might not be because the club doesn't want him, could be his own choice.

let's see what he can do in pre-season. That is a quality loan spell. His name has been around so long but still young enough to kick on

Whilst I completely agree I bet he gets sold before he even gets a chance. If a team comes in with a 7-10 mil offer I reckon he's gone. The club will just see it as more money for the summer budget.

I mean these things lie on a knife's edge so often. So many managers and chairmen and this and that claim they knew all along that so-and-so would turn out and come good but it is so many fine margins with massive decisions isn't it? I mean Kane only appeared to break through and then continue to get opportunities with little fortunate moments or injuries or decisions that could have gone either way. Bale too and many, many others I'm sure

What I'm saying is - I'm appreciating how hard it is to make it as a professional footballer and then how much harder it is to make the squad of a Premier League club and sometimes that one window of opportunity can lead to big things

tldr: yeah I'm sure he'll be sold quick as a sniff without hesitation

Need to sell with a 50% sell on option, as I think that will potentially attract teams with a larger profile.

I can see him doing well in the SPL.

But would like to see him have a preseason with us before heading off.

AZ would be a good move for him.

Either way, the club and player will be alright whatever happens. A happy ending.

Remember reading at the beginning of the season that he was determined to make it at Spurs. Give him pre-season, perhaps even first half and then reevaluate in January.

If a major club were in for him, that would be one thing. But if it's Alkmaar, then that's where he should go. With buy-backs/sell-ons, of course.

Got a bit lucky there, should've passed it, but in the end it didn't matter.
Not ure if the other guy ever kept himself onside. But yeah, even then it was a lucky finish. One of those that would have gone over the the bar if he wasn't in the form he's in.
