With the absence of Irish players lately at Spurs I'm putting all my hopes on this lad. And that keeper fella I adopted.

SPURS have won the race to sign Belvedere hot-shot Troy Parrott.

Striker Parrot yesterday scored a consolation goal for Ireland’s under-15s in a 5-1 defeat to Holland.

He has been a prolific scorer in schoolboy football attracting attention from a host of English clubs.

But Spurs have beaten the likes of London rivals Chelsea to secure a summer move by agreeing to pay the famous nursery club the full compensation due upfront.

Winner rating for the use of the term 'hot-shot'.

Nice to know we are still after the up and coming talent and will fight the other top clubs for the "hot shots"

First player Spurs have signed from Dublin since - Stephen Carr? Dave McDonald?

Interesting in that most English clubs have long given up scouting Ireland. Not enough talent there, bar the occasional late developer like Seamus Coleman and Shane Long. Presumably Spurs still have a man on the ground there nonetheless.

Unless he has left, we also have a lad in the same age group called Timi Sobowale who we signed from Waterford. He was with us at the start of the season and helped us win a trophy. Don't see them alot so can only assume he is still here. So there's another you can support (y)

Looked at the link you posted and just seen Sobowale also came off the bench. He's a ball playing CB. So two Spurs players in that age group.

Not sure about Dublin specifically bt twe still keep an eye out. As above we have Sobowale and now Parrott. Before that we of course had McEvoy. Additionally we also had Aaron McEneff. He left us at u21 level. His younger brother Jordan was also in our academy, however, for whatever reason he left us and joined a very strong Arsenal age group which currently have 9 England internationals, and will be in their academy next year, along with another former ex-Spur Bayli Spencer-Adams

Hadn't seen this thread before reading and responding to a post about Troy Parrott in the Spurs Youth thread, so please feel free to enjoy my terrible joke here too:

Bet he's the type of striker who's always on the shoulder of the last defender.

And with my reputation now in tatters, I bid you all adieu.
