Kieran Trippier says Spurs sold him “too soon” after chairman Daniel Levy refused to speak to him and Mauricio Pochettino avoided giving him the straight answers he wanted.

If his grievance, real or perceived, gives him the motivation and drive to succeed then good for him.

He didn’t slam the club as some headlines are quick to try and exaggerate. He just said he felt he had more to give and that he didn’t get straight answers from Poch or Levy regarding his future. Hardly surprising as you wouldn’t want him blabbing to the press and have that potentially reduce any transfer fee

He was dreadful last season and I am pleased to see the back of him. Unfortunately Aurier is still here. I would have liked a replacement bought but hopefully KWP and Foyth will step up.

Spurs didn't make a mistake in selling Trippier too soon, but they made an error by not signing a decent replacement for him.

He was awful last season....but judging from the way we have started this season, full backs are going to continue to be our main area of weakness. KWP, Rose and Sanchez (unfair to judge him too harshly as he was asked to play out of position in one of our toughest away games of the season).

So is it a case of our full backs just aren't good enough or our formation/tactics leave us far too exposed in the wide areas defensively.

We did right selling him as I think we got decent money for him but we made a mistake not bringing in another knowing Aurier will spend most of the season out injured.

I agree with him. He played a lot, had a poor season, carried a niggling injury but clearly has talent.

Had we signed a “better than Trippier” replacement, I’d not miss him.

But both KWP and Foyth will need a lot of game time to get up to speed, if they ever get there.

Good to see Tripps excelling in Spain, but sounds like his time was up.

We would have kept you if you were not shite for a full season.
As he says, he's moved on to bigger. better things. But seems to be making a lot of noise about it now. Typically showing true colors of a ****, and clearly hated being sold and is hurting.

Show some fucking class you little prick

You should perhaps consider practising what you preach instead of offering up a hateful, spiteful post like that.

If one poor season is all it takes to get bombed out, there's a few in our squad that might be feeling a little nervous.

I hope KWP really is ready and just needs a good run in the team.

After 3 good games he is giving it the mouth. We will see how their fans react after he gives a goal away and feigns injury like he did twice last year.
