Cannot see £1B being nearly enough. If Levy was involved in a takeover vehicle he couldn't also act on behalf of ENIC so having Trevor Birch in place would make sense if that was a potential scenario.

It was bids in excess of 500 million in 2011 and that was with the first set of stadium plans somewhere between archway being uncooperative and being pushed to bid for Stratford IIRC.

They've since added £800 million+ of stadia, the training ground and lodge, they've planning permissions and outline planning permissions for numerous other parts of the regeneration plan.
Unless JL is in massive trouble then that billion bid is going to be needing to start with a two before the phone is even answered IMHO and even then I don't believe it'll be sold to just any old Thomas, Richard or Harold.

I’ll take that as a compliment ((I think) but have been advised by many longer serving posters about spam so now I know the rule I’ll stick more to the point. I was misled by all the acorny jokes about trees.To the point in the future.
