Yeah! Nobody messes with us or breezes in and takes our best players off us. Never!

It looks as though the top four sides are strengthening up around us, whilst we show no sign of getting a new centre or left back. Frustrating, but in my opinion we've missed our opportunity to be a top four side. That ship didn't just sail, it fucking sank. Anyway, onwards and upwards! ;)

Top 4 is going to be a real challenge this season. With Man U (No european commitment) almost certainly back in the mix, even more difficult than last year I reckon.

But if the metaphorical top 4 ship had not sailed but sank, wouldn't that mean we finished 2nd to Everton last season?

We punched above our weight for a few seasons which has raised expectations. In reality, the playing field won't be level until we have our shiny new stadium. Just hoping we don't fall too far off the pace in the meantime.

His attitude was so poor last season that I feel he put a lot of top teams off
If that's the case, he'll have to work his ass off this year to change their minds (Verts firing on all cylinders is a nice asset to have). ;) Unfortunately, the apparent Barca interest says otherwise. :(

Its only July 16th, Don't panic! (the press will do that for us) I assume Poch is still assessing the squad and will continue to do so in the upcoming games. The top quality players changing hands at the moment are out of our price range (now) anyway, even if they were interested in playing for a non CL club.

I hope so; and I also would expect to see a more positive player this season....I assume he's back from Brazil and Pochetto would be monitoring him in training by now?

I would have thought WC players (those proper ones who's counties played more than 2 competitive games) would be given more time off.
Paulinho, Vertonghen, Dembele, Lloris etc are all match fit anyway.
All they are missing out on is poochi's secret philosophy.

Read the ITK threads, there are plenty of signs that we are focusing on a new Center and Left back.

If by 'signs' you mean an announcement on the OS, well .... we are only mid July, still 6 weeks till #LevyTime!

I dont agree we punched above our weight when teams around us underperform. Example, last season Everton didnt punch above their weight, we underperformed and all the others argueably should finish above us unless they underperform.

Well you're pretty chilled out about all this aren't you. Fair enough, but I'm not, especially as everyone else is out there improving their squads. I bet you we are still sat around like c*nts waiting for us to sign someone on the last day of the transfer window!

LOL! I am not that chilled out, but I do have bigger fish to fry than stressing too much about our squad at this point!

I am more worried about LB than a CB because bloody hell, if i have to stand that current little fekker as our 1st choice another season i might just go mad full retard!
