Pochs presser was worrying after the game, speaking in riddles! But deffo seems something is up!

Agree completely.

Give him some minutes, see if he's better than Saliba. He may be one of those players that surprises everyone. I can't remember now but I don't think King was highly thought of when breaking through, he had the raw abilities but it wasn't until after a couple of years when he started to really show his true ability. Tanganga has a lot of raw qualities that given time could grow and he could develop into a really good defender. I'd rather give him a chance then blow 30m on an 18 year old (Saliba) from France, who may turn out to be a waste of investment.

I'm with you. I would always prefer Tanganga to Saliba if he succeeds. My critique is towards people saying he looks like the future of our defense after 3 pre-season games. I remember people saying that CCV looked like a new Ledley King after his pre-season games.

I think it was pretty clear what he was saying to be honest, and ties in with the line he’s been throwing out recently ‘the chairman will deliver me the best squad he can’ - sounds like Poch isn’t getting what he wants and is pretty hacked off about it, again!

Here is the presser - well worth a watch from 5 minutes onwards.

You can sense the frustration in his voice and see that all is not well for him.

about the transfers yes, but what was all the nonsence about Lamela's performance. The journalist who asked that must have thought that was a safe bet - he did play well, so why answer like that?

He always talks in riddles.
Bloody annoying when all he has to do is say nothing!

I could do without the sarcasm, to be honest. He has this thing of seizing on a particular word or phrase in a question and throwing it back at the reporter in a pretty obviously hostile way. Totally unnecessary, in my opinion, whatever's going on behind the scenes. Potentially destabilising for the squad to see the boss so pissed off, and he keeps doing it.

This is what I can’t understand aswell, yes granted he’s probably annoyed he hasn’t been giving the players he wants, but it’s almost as if he’s dismissed lamela’s performance, almost came across as a petulant child

I am would imagine that Poch and DL talk all the time about players leaving and coming in. Poch just does not want to give anything away to the media so he says he is not going to talk about transfers. I don't see anything to get worried about.
