I'm not bothered who he goes to tbh. He's a great player who has significant flaws imo. I've always been of the thought we could do better for the money he was being quoted as worth.
I agree but we're leaving it pretty fucking late.

Let’s hope Poch is a bit more sensible answering questions in his post match interview. We done need more over reacting.

Well that went well, telling everyone Levy is in Miami has gone down like a shit sandwich.

I actually think this was the perfect game prior to the season starting.

Conte is a very good manager and his team were super organised and fit, i think it gave the team a little bit of a wake up call and gave them a good reminder of what the Premier League is about. I didn't want to see us steam roll Inter. I wanted a tough gritty game and that's what we got.

Still some issues to iron out in the team and the whole Erisken, Toby staying or going and who's coming in etc, but that circus will have ended soon, hopefully with us having a stronger and less injury prone squad than last year.

Pretty bitty second half, typical Conte side now Inter, very hard working, and don't give you 5 seconds on the ball. They'll be tough to play this season.
Thought Maura looked sharp again, took his goal well. The rest got more minutes. Ndombele still settling in, but showed some glimpses of magic.

It's as if they think he needs to be in the room to do deals nowadays.

Although That might be a better plan with Betis

Agree the deal => sign the deal
Not sure how a deal can be agreed and reneged upon on three occasions.

Very rarely have I gone into a new season with such a lack of excitement and optimism.

We have brought in one new player and I believe he will be brilliant but with Eriksen seemingly off, we haven't strengthened the squad at all. We were a million miles off City and Liverpool last season and this season will be the same again. The only difference is the other teams around us have strengthened and they will be tough competition.

Levy has 5 big days ahead of him. He must deliver a few signings in that time!

I do like a dribbler playing through the middle in the 4-2-3-1

Causes alot of problems to the opposition. Lamela did that well today

I'm going to put this here, rather then the youth thread, but it gives me a headache when I see Marsh, Georgiou & N'koudo getting lots of opportunities in pre-season and do not see players like Pritchard, Edwards, Onomah and even Bennetts not previously given the same chances.

It's not going to happen but Alderweireld should play RB

KWP has plenty of good moments but has some very stupid moments. I would rather Sanchez starts instead of him therefore a back 4 of Aldwrweirled Sanchez Vertonghen Rose is our best option

What a spiteful bunch of back-stabbing, panic merchants this place becomes after a not massively overwhelming performance.

Why would any player want to come here when they see how current players are treated?

Just come back from the game. The biggest thing I took from it is that we need a right full back as priority. Actually like KWP but he’s more of and attacking wing back type player, no where near ready to play RB in a flat back 4. Decent going forward (Although his end product isn’t good enough yet) but not great defensively and will get caught out if we persist with him.

Our other options aren’t much better IMO, Foyth will be a very good player for us, but at centre half or on the right side of a back 3. The opposite of KWP in many ways as he offers very little going forwards.

Serge Aurier for me is an accident to happen, never rated him and simply we need better.

So in summary we have 4 days? To rectify a glaring weak spot in our team, as it was last year and the year before that..

Tick tock Levy.. because if we don’t there is no way IMO we will improve on last year.

Was at the match today. My take on it:

Started on fire, looked really good first 20.

Inter grew into the game, maintaining a threat on the counter.

Second half (as tends to be the case in pre season) was disjointed mainly due to mass subs.

Lamela looked good, KWP was great - drew a LOT of fouls.

Ndombele will need time to acclimatise to the PL but you can already see how good he will be.

Sissoko continues to impress.

Winks started well but lost his way a little.

Kane was mostly quiet but a huge threat when brought into play.
