ENIC had better sell quick as at this rate they will be the owners of a Championship side.
Then they will hold on until they get us to champions league again. Can’t be selling at its lowest and all that. Although if we go down I think supports will legit start climbing into the owners box

Of the total issued ordinary share capital of Tottenham Hotspur Limited (THL), ENIC SPORTS INC. (ENIC) ownership is 86.91% (from 86.58%) to reflect shares allotted in December 2024 in respect of operational expansion. ENIC also owns the one THL convertible A share.

Seeing new posts in this thread is like getting an email from the National Lottery to say that you’ve won a prize.

There’s that brief flicker of excitement and a quick daydream about a brighter future before the crushing disappointment sets in when you realise that you’ve only won a fiver.

We don't even get the fiver.

That's a pretty good analogy as even when you only win that fiver, you're always drawn back next week with that flicker of optimism.

Apologies for getting people's hopes up by bumping this thread, but I have a question I've been meaning to ask the more knowledgable members of the forum, concerning new ownership.

If Lewis (and Levy) wanted to sell the club by publically floating it on the stock-market, would there be any reason to stop them doing this?

We know that their valuation of the club may be too high for any individual private investor to consider, but if the cost was split between many shareholders, then perhaps this is the only way the owners get the sale price they're asking for?

Incidently, this would probably mean that the shareholders vote in the board of directors and CEO on a periodic basis, which would be beneficial for the fans as, presumably, voting would be related to performance?

Anyway, just a thought; would be interested to read people's thoughts on this.

The club isn't public anymore so my understanding is that he wouldn't be able to float it on the stock market per se.
If, however, he wanted to sell, I'm not sure how much Levy could do about it as I'm not 100% sure about how much either of them owns of ENIC and the club, respectively.

It would almost 100% have to be a private investor or consortium that buys the club though.

Thanks.

So is the main problem unravelling who actually owns the private shares currently and getting them all to agree to sell their shares publically?

I don't think so.
I'm not sure how big the percentage is, but ENIC has the controlling shares by far (somewhere between 70-80% IIRC). I'm also not sure how much of ENIC Levy actually owns and how much power he has in reality in terms of a sale.

My assumption is that ENIC needs to receive an offer that matches their valuation of the club. I don't believe there are any other stumbling blocks, any other private shareholder does not even need to be consulted as we're no longer public.
