Well I disagree with all of that.

I love Tottenham Hotspur, I can’t just turn that off. I did before I heard the name daniel levy or enic and I will when they’re gone.

It doesn’t affect my life in anyway whatsoever. I vent /debate on here and to friends and family . Its escapism and sometimes venting about first world problems is fun escapism.

Nobody expects them to compete with city or Newcastle and the football rulemakers are making the Saudis life hard in that respect. It’s such a lazy comment to make. It used to be we will do a Leeds.

I remember jack walker, I remember Newcastle splashing the cash like mad. There have always been disrupters and yeah city and Chelsea have taken it to another level but they can’t /don’t sign every player in the world no matter how hard Chelsea try and just speaking about them and failing to acknowledge the stuff we can control is disingenuous.

That's why I said etc because there's a lot more to it than tickets. Enic makes their fair share from the club and Levy is the highest paid chairman. They wouldn't be here if they wasn't making money off us.

They are not really making money - in the sense that most people think about. Levy is getting paid, but ENIC are not taking money.

What they are doing, is investing the the club as a business - so, in that sense, they continue to build the value of the club (and everything associated with that).

As with most owners of sports franchises - this is a long-term investment vehicle for ENIC. I don't know the total money they have put up - call it £200M +/-, and when they sell, they will earn a very handsome ROI. But, year-to-year, they are not taking, and don't want, the profits.

So, its not that they are making money, per se, its that the investment continues to grow at an acceptable rate of return.

Depends what you consider as making money. Investing in a club to then over quadruple it's value and sell down the line is still taking money. At the end of the day every business is in it to make money. Whether it's through a long term investment plan the end result is still ultimately they will make money from it.
