I think when the time for balls to the wall comes he would not take the essential last step. Like when Pool got VVD & Alisson for what people thought were absurd fees at the time, or when Scum paid over £100m for Rice as well as all the big wages that go with it. I just don't think he has the appetite for that level of risk when it comes to transfers.

I think their target market has always been a little different, with Lewis' connections I'd imagine they have always primarily been targeting the US and someone who's after a club who are ready-made and perhaps just need a little extra push. FSG probably would have been their perfect buyer, but obviously they managed to get Liverpool when that club's value was massively depressed by Hicks & Gillette's mismanagement.

I just cant see how a part investment does anything for us on the pitch ultimately. If Levy is still at the helm, the injection of funds or whatever will be spent in the exact same manner as always.

Levy could only advise, he won’t have any say in what the Lewis Trust does.

Levy only cares about making money anyway. This belief that he will only do what’s best for the club as he has a moral compass is naive. He will simply do what’s best for his investment.

Thanks for sharing. Reading the whole article, Staveley comes through as an opportunist with little actual weight behind her numerous and glorified statements.

Her ventures in Libya and Iraq make me think of one single word:

Carpetbagger.

As Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi have been to Spurs for two recent matches can we assume that Levy is doing all the negotiations for both the Lewis family trust and his own interests , it would seem so unless someone has come over from the Bahamas.
We know that Josh Levy is Co-CEO in the Tavistock Group so the families are very integrated .
Apparently Staveley and Ghodoussi were at the Chelsea game this weekend in the directors box, just like Starmer getting freebies everywhere.

Chelsea ownership is fractured with both sides saying they want to buy the other out so no surprise they were at that game.
It's a mad time, so many clubs for sale or seeking minority investment. With the prices being quoted there is a very very limited pool of buyers.

I say that as someone who wouldn't mind new owners. You rarely become a billionaire by being nice or ethical. It's unfortunately just what the world is like.
