Hmmm - would we fancy an American owner?

One thing as sweet f all to do with the other so a potentially good story (if he included any real detail) is ruined by the journo's enthusiasm to talk about Poch to Manu.

personally i wouldnt want an american owner. what if he wants to hire phil jackson as the coach and jeanie buss as the ceo. all good work undone. of course theres a chance that we strike gold with a sensible rich owner, but how fucking rare is that with americans

Why do they persist with this shit. He has stability and the trust of the chairman which is a big thing for someone like Poch who has a "projecy". I'm already bored and the summer transfer BS hasn't even started.
He isn't going anywhere anytime soon... ****s.

Do I want a foreign owner? I really don't care where anyone was born so long as they do what's best for the club. I like the idea of getting a shed load of cash with a new stadium to pay for but right now everything is going well I don't want a new owner turning things upside down. We need to keep Poch, we need to get the new stadium built and we need to sign up our best players.

I agree, but if he's that rich at least he'll be able to get Popovich and R.C Buford.

"There is no suggestion Spurs owner Joe Lewis is looking to sell the entire club". In other words, as is said in the article: it´s possible that Joe Lewis is open to have one (or more) co-owners. There´s no, absolutely zip, nada, mentioning of an American owner taking control of the club. So, have no fear: we´re not going to be like Villa or ManU-Glazers (yet).
