Bit harsh that imo. It was a fun video.

Although agree that if we're talking sensible transfers Openda's not really an option this summer.
It was professionally produced but I just got the impression he has based all his picks from a spreadsheet and not from actually watching.

This just popped up for me on YouTube, only released a couple hours ago so it’s new, never listened to them before and no idea who they are, however seems a decent listen. Talking to Johnathan Turner who is a board member for spurs.
Just started listening but seems like it could be genuinely a decent insight.

Really good listen, thanks for posting.

Can’t do with Danny Kelly, the bloke’s just, “ it’s all about me knob”

I get him being a bit irritating but don’t think he’s “all about me” - he’s always been good at tying the podcast together and I think they all pull their weight. Still a bit nervous about Charlie Eccleshare leaving because he was so bloody good - so often seemed to hit the nail on the head. Hopefully James Maw (?) can be as strong.

I listen to all podcasts at night and the ones I favour are those that allow my old ears an easy ride. I refuse to listen to any podcast where there is mumbling, overly strong accents, fluctuations in volume, and mindless and childish crudity. TVFTL is brilliantly produced and Danny is articulate, intelligent and easy to listen to. His sidekicks are always excellent.

Sometimes it’s not always about content but process too.

If any of you listen to Hometown Glory, I made my debut on their episode that came out today. So now, you can be annoyed by reading my posts here and annoyed by listening to me on a podcast.

I can't listen to that anymore because for me Guest is too boring on it. I don't think he's great on tactics, his takes aren't exactly "hot" ones and his voice does my head in. I get that Ali is the main draw on it so he needs a foil on it but he should be able to get better than him

Thing is, the whole podcast is a word-for-word repeat of what Alli puts out on his own videos at about the same time. The only difference is G&G has ever so slightly less rambling, and Alli's video has no adverts for NordVPN in it.

Can't listen to either of them on anything less than x1.5 speed, though.

Yeah, Jay Harris is clearly no Charlie in terms of listenability. Overall, it’ll still be a good listen I think.

I agree VFTL has gone down a slight bit without CE. But that’s not to say I haven’t enjoyed Jay Harris - I actually have. But CE was superb.

I cried laughing at Flav’s imitation of American college football fans this week on TFC. I personally think TFC has started to strike a better balance with the vulgarity and the guests while still keeping some laughs. It’s been an increasingly enjoyable listen IMO. And I think The Lab has been a really successful addition to the rotation. I enjoyed the Palace supporter with the neutral view on today’s episode

Agree all round. I used to struggle with TFC as it just got a bit too much. But I think with Flav's involvement with Sky stuff he's had to clean it up a bit.

I think flav was struggling for guests so it lacked balance at times. Since Ben Bowman has been a regular it’s evened out the football chat and banter. I guess a lot of the old crew have moved on so they can’t be regulars anymore.

Just listened to view from the lane. Danny was pretty vocal (surprising I know) that he had serious concerns over how the team sets up with high line and being so open & relatively easy to play against.

Listening to today's episode I actually think he's lost faith in Ange, wonder what others think when they hear it.

Never been once for nuance, has he.

Much prefer Jack Pitt-B's view on Spurs – able to approach it from a more objective standpoint.

He is able to approach it that way but I think JPB was actually more disagreeing with Danny's view that you can't play high line,. with all the possession etc rather than addressing whether spurs can or should play that way.
I think JPB is right that spurs can do it but they need perfection from everyone to do it which isnt possible.
I think Danny's overall point regarding the quality Ange has faced before was lost in his overall points but I do agree with it. He hasn't played teams, players and coaches of this quality before and he is finding out the hard way what happens when you consistently give good players high quality chances against you. This is more to the Ange thread so won't get into it here but I do agree with Danny's view

It’s also not true. He’s had a year in the league and finished 5th, having lost his star player, and the club’s greatest ever goalscorer. Like you say, not the thread, but Danny has never been one for patience once he’s made his mind up about a Spurs manager.

And I really like the guy, think he does a great job on the pod, but I do prefer Jack (and previously Charlie)‘s views on Spurs.

Anyone looking for a more positive spin on yesterday’s game, Ally Gold has you covered (Gold & Guest). Fella is my spirit animal, we could be relegated following a 10-0 drubbing from Arsenal, and he'd find the silver lining.

If you can stomach Guesty’s miserable-as-fuck-Everton-fan demeanour.
