The England international looked set to be on his way to Spain after Chelsea agreed a £33.7million fee with Atletico Madrid, however a deal has stalled after the transfer of Samu Omorodion going in the opposite direction collapsed.

Gallagher has now returned to London despite undergoing a medical in Madrid and being photographed at the Wanda Metropolitano by the club's official social media account, and that could open up the door for Spurs to make a move.

Postacoglu has already gone on record that he only wants players who really want to play for the club, can’t see him going for Gallagher now

Let him stay with the other 40-odd players there.
Leave next year for free.
I just don't want him at our club unless we totally screw them over.

He's already shown us enough leg in the past for a shag. All mouth, but doesn't drop his nickers (unless she's Spanish).

Yet Chelsea insists that the two deals are separate (clearly because that is favourable to them for FFP / PSR, rather than because it's true). Maybe they'll sell another hotel to themselves to offset the fee for Omorodion, if Gallagher doesn't leave this month.

I've always felt he's a player that fits Ange's playing style well but isn't of such a high quality that we'd break the bank to sign him. My guess is we're keeping tabs on him and will only move if they're willing to sell for a reasonable fee.

If not, we'll look elsewhere or stick with what we've got.

Good and bad vibes matter in sport, and this has bad vibes written all over it. We've been down this road before with managers and players.

We aren't Gallagher's top choice, even if he's ours. His heart is in Chelsea. He had Atleti's shirt on. He's been humiliated by Chelsea and his mind might be melted. Cluster. I like the player, understand our interest, but bad vibes say no for me.

True.

Or he may just be a dedicated professional who will give his all to be as successful as possible.

Why is everyone saying we don't want him because he turned us down for Spain? I don't remember us ever putting in a bid for him. I think if we had he would have jumped at the chance. He wanted to stay in the PL especially to enhance his England claims. Chelsea obviously don't want him and he's just trying to get it sorted before the season starts. Would I want him? Probably. He works hard, has a good engine and can score goals.
