Tottenham have, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, agreed on an ‘amicable termination’ of Tanguy Ndombele’s contract.

Ndombele, 27, has been due back at the club this summer following the end of his loan in Turkey at Galatasaray.

The club were talking about doing this a year ago apparently. Guess it was a pricey “amicable termination” with one year left on his contract. But it frees up 200k a week if reports are accurate.

For us, it feels like a relief. For him, the best that can be said is that this was a massive wasted opportunity.

In other words, we almost certainly paid him out in full. But at least he's not clogging up a spot in our squad and on our books.

What a complete and tragic waste of undoubted talent. One day he might look back and wonder what might have been, but that short window will be closed to him now.
All the great players have talent, combined with heart and determination - just a shame Tanguy was missing the second part.

He’s robbed enough money from us to be able to retire, and never amble around again.

It doesn't free up anything if we've had to pay his contract up. I doubt very much he's left without a pay off.

He surely must have taken some kind of a cut, otherwise just let him languish without a squad number. I really do not see that we paid him in full.

Guess just depends if it’s 100% of contract or a bit lower. Made point other day to mates, if we could have found a loan, even if we paid 95% of his salary, it was still a saving compared to paying him off in full

Might be able to work out if he was paid off when the accounts for this financial year are released which will be next year, hopefully we have better things to think about by then than the £100 million or so he has cost the club.

Great news, if true.

Will wait for club announcement before expressing relief.

You dont want him anywhere near the squad with his attitude. Let alone put him with our talented youth groups.

So everyone goes on about the £200k figure. However, surely the way spurs operate a lot of that was bonus based for appearances and such?
