The only real worry I have with Carroll staying is that we've seen how quickly fans turn on new players already so it might be best for him to make his mistakes somewhere with a little less pressure.

i think QPR will be a good move for him... he does';t have to upsticks and move.
lets be honest if he goes to Ajax, i doubt he'll play very much, there a champs league team... At least and QPR he'll play week in and week out. he'll get 30 plus games this year is exactly what he needs.

My initial reaction to him going on loan to QPR...

After thinking about it, he'll probably get more playing time at QPR, which he won't at Spurs

Ok, he'll get a shitload of playing time but I'm of the opinion that he's good enough for a starting place at one of the smaller Premiership clubs already. If anything at least playing Championship will toughen him up a bit.

Really hope this doesn't happen, after Sunday I'm even more convinced he'll be a viable alternative to dembele in the 433 this season. we desperately need someone who can play with his head up a pass the ball more efficiently than Dembele, Sandro and Paulinho.

Eriksen and Holtby are exactly the players that will. Carroll needs a full loan. I was just hoping it wouldn't be in the Championship, albeit one of the better sides.

Obviously the pl would be better for him but I'm not sure that it is the quality of the players he is playing with/against that is his main issue it is more the physicality of playing week in week out and he can develop that in the championship.

Carroll is very talented but will have to fight to make it at the top, if he can learn to take the kicks in the championship and come out on top he will be able to do it in the prem.

Having said all of that, I think he would be a great fit for Swansea or somebody like that.

Tom Carroll on his way to QPR blasts out Sky Sports News. While he's sat five yards away eating dinner here. #getmoving

Since he's not leaving the club on a transfer then I doubt he needs to actually go anywhere. He's clearly fit, they're probably not fussed about a medical and he doesn't have to sign any contracts I don't think. I think it's just his agent that'll be involved.

Actually if the options were Crystal Palace or QPR, reckon latter will suit better. Not sure he would've been used necessarily that much on relegation dogfight and they might have turned to more physical players whereas at QPR he is playing on a team that is expected to dominate games and whose opponents will play pretty much like opponents would play against top PL side. He has familiar coach there and pretty decent players to combine with and play attacking football, especially if Harry also lands Niko. I mean central midfield of Barton/Carroll with Niko playing off the striker and Hoillett, SWP and Phillips as flank options. Only thing is that they've loads of seasoned veterans on central midfield so he has to peform to keep his place on XI.

If qpr come straight back up at least he could probably get a loan there next season too if we don't have the space for him.

Bet Harry is chuckling away to himself - good bit of business he's done, imo, landing both Disco & Tom for the season, really good.

Still think he should've gone to Ajax. He would've learned so much over there, although I agree that he would probably not have had as much game time and not even sure if he would have been played in the CL. But Ajax have a philosophy, they train and produce intelligent footballers, and player of Tom's stature is a perfect fit for that style of football.
