Nope. It's the going rate, we need to get real on fees

As I've said before we're going to have to pay over the odds if we want players like this & in the Jan window.

We've baulked at these kinds of fees often, but what we find is that the fee generally goes up the longer we leave it, so what we have to decide is, is this a player Poch wants & does he add to our squad. If the answer is yes to both then should make it happen.

My wishful thinking Spurs colored glasses would think surely RB would rather see us get him than Bayern, get a loan back for the rest of season and secure his deal to the prem in January.

What if we could add to the budget without buying another player?

Sell Trippier £15/20m? Promote KWP

Buy Werner or similar and a decent CM for £120m
Surely that’s realistic.

People keep talking about the Coutinho fee. If Madrid buy Eriksen for 100 mill (in the papers) and Toby goes for £25mill...do you really think we are going to buy big name players like Liverpool...no chance!

We will wait for Werners price to go down in the Summer and a bigger team will come in and take him before we have a chance.

We are always one step behind and thats because we dont gamble when it really matters.

Right. It’s not even a question of gambling if you’re doing it correctly.

We just have had, of late, bad judgement in the transfer market.

There are loads of players who have been bought for reasonable fees that we’ve not gone for.

I don’t know where the block is in practise, but there is one and it’s holding us back

The sums of money are ridiculous! Trouble is, those are the amounts of money needed to tempt a club into selling their star assets.
Regarding the above, can we not sell Aurier instead to raise the £15m.
If we can't get him now, I Like the idea of buy now to sign on in the Summer if that would help the purchase.

So if that supposed release clause is €70m that would work out about £62m. Not that outlandish really. Hard to compare values with other deals.

I guess it's down to ones interpretation of the facts. To me if Siggy cost 50mi then that's a benchmark. It's irelavent whether it's inflated or not as market forces dictate price!
