Time to bring back the classic debate

Yeah it all seemed to go tits up when he insisted on playing in the ANC if I remember rightly? Him and Jol’s relationship seemed to go downhill after that. I was quite gutted when we sold him.

Ah yeah that was it!

I do remember there was something that kicked it off as prior to that he was outstanding and leading the line superbly.

We also then bought Defoe in as cover (which, much as fans loved him we really should have gotten someone taller to compliment Keane) and from then on were rotating them all and Kanoute wasn’t quite the same for us.

A real shame.

I remember him and Dalmat were a thing of beauty early stages of that season.

Dalmat was another one who had absolutely astonishing ability but someone must have not been quite right mentality wise as don’t think he had that successful of a career.

He slapped O’Hara as well, although from seeing him on celeb BB he probably should have been high fives for that rather than bombed out of his loan lol.

Yeah Dalmat was a different case entirely. He had outrageous ability, but was a total nut bag .
