Interesting stuff on how it going to work.. Shame the VAR in Champions League didn't have the same view as they said... The handball would have not counted... We were robbed, print the t-shirts ,start a petition... Lol

Sounds good in principle but you just know they’ll make a complete fuck up of it :)

I'm a bit worried about the new offside with a flag going up but play continuing.

That's a lot of additional actions in a game.

Actually it’s interesting that the FA have taken a different approach, but I question the logic in so much as does this not hinder English clubs in Europe?

If our laws are marginally different then we could see more incidents where by English clubs are penalized for situations they wouldn’t be in the weekly matches.

It does seem odd that each competition can work the rules and the use of VAR differently, but then there is always that feeling that UEFA matches and officials always tend to allow less physicallity already so this would just be another difference

Agree. Defenders hold their line (ie stop), flag goes up, play continues. Very odd indeed.

Also, knowing every goal is checked by VAR is going to take away the spontaneity and fun of a goalscoring moment.

It'll shift accuracy from 82% to 91%, or whatever, and there'll be just as much controversy and bullshit as ever. Blame will just switch from the wanker in the black to the wanker in Uxbridge. We'll be losing some of the chaos theory from the game, replacing it with something more clinical, but far duller. Will it decide a championship or relegation? Maybe, but probably far less often than is assumed. I dislike the whole business to be honest.

Referee performance last season was woeful so if this helps then i'm all for it. It'll probably only take a couple of seasons until we're used to it and it'll just be part of the game like it is in cricket, rugby and tennis.

If I understood correct on the video clip right at the end. On a red card review the video screens, after saying it was a red, will also show a video clip of what happened

That is going to fire up the atmosphere in some stadiums on some decisions!
