He did have a loan spell at Watford in 2009.
Yes, he'll be clamouring to go to Watford because he played seven games for them when they were in the Championship at a time when he was a kid who was nowhere near our squad, a spell that ended almost a full year before his Spurs debut.

I think not. He has said he wants to go back North when he leaves Spurs, north in this case can probably be equated as Leeds and further. Not fucking Watford.

I went to Skegness for a holiday once, doesn't mean I want to live there :cautious:
But you did go there... so not impossible you might consider going there again, no?

Look, maybe he didn't want to go there, but Rose was the one who was granted permission to miss the summer tour to investigate which other clubs might be a possibility. That we know.

Sky were the ones who said Tottenham were holding out for £20m.

I thought Watford was 'North'!

Here's the sky version if you prefer your news sources more mainstream:

"It has also been previously reported Tottenham were looking to recoup £20m for the left-back they bought from Leeds for £1m in 2007."

There are more sources if you google, the sun, the mail - whatever floats your boat.

Again no proven quotes. How many times was Poch set to leave for Real Madrid according to those papers? Stop believing the press on transfer rumours, as a spurs fan you should know better.

with Sky, they are pretty inaccurate on lots of things and have a tendency to twist news. I don't use twitter to often, but have on a few occasions twittered them an error

I think it would be better to say "I don't know either" and remain sceptical rather than completely dismissive.

Trippier went for around £20m.

After all, Danny saying he wanted to go north was reported by none other than, you guessed it, the press.

Exactly. It is like friends who ask me what is going on and I often say, 'well I hear ... or I understand'. It's just me regurgitating the most likely rumours but in truth I 'know' nothing

I mean it's literally a case of "a bloke rang another bloke and the second bloke wrote about it in the paper".

It's utterly worthless as any form of evidence.

That's not really the same thing as he's talking about is it, Danny Rose literally said in an interview:

“I will say this too, I will play up north. I don’t know exactly when but I will get back up north and play some football somewhere. I am going to make it my priority before I retire to play football up there. I have been away for over 10 years now and I don’t get to see my mum that often. I’m not saying I want out but if something came to me that was concrete, I’d have no qualms about voicing my opinions to anyone at the club.”

I liked the Trust's questions about fan expectation levels rising with the high ticket prices that the club charge. Personally, like the discussion point that the Trust raise, my expectations on the football side are that THFC acts financially in line with having some of the highest ticket prices in world football, and while this summer was a good start in terms of transfers I expect this to continue into future windows and will frankly be pissed off (and stop giving them my money) if at any point we relapse and aren't providing the resources to maintain a competitive playing squad.

Trippier went for a reason, and had nothing to do with Football

Rose will be a problem getting rid, teams will try lowballing us until his contract runs out. our best hope at the moment might be hoping Leeds get promoted

Not to do with football? Did you not see him play last season?

No, Danny said it himself, it was a direct quote in an interview. Can you honestly not see the difference between a person saying something themselves on the record, which is then published vs. something that a journalist just writes in an opinion piece with no quotes?

"7. Ticketing
7.1 Policy and approach to pricing, cup packs, cup credits, match categorisation etc.:
  • KL referenced the disappointment around certain ticketing decisions recently
  • ..
  • DMC said that DL had answered earlier when saying there was always a balance between pricing attractively and being commercially aware"
Continue to play like this and our money-grabbing club might need to re-think their balancing act...
