Ugh, UK only. Would be a great watch for those of us who've never stepped foot into Tottenham.

I don't really like Lammy, and this just seemed like PR for him. But seeing the real challenges people are facing in places like Tottenham get some exposure on TV was really refreshing and I enjoyed the programme.

Hmm not sure what I make of Lammy. He does seem abit "off" and I did get what your saying about it being PR for him.

Havent had a chance to watch yet, but it featured segments from the case of a good friend of mine, his mother and aunty were on the programme..we will soon see if David Lammy is really a genuine guy.

I didn't enjoy it and know from people who still live in Tottenham that they thought it portrayed the area in a bad light, just a tirade of complaints and problems and a somewhat egocentric MP who loves the limelight. Tottenham may not be as nice an area as it was when I was a kid and teenager there, but there are plenty of people living there who have a decent standard of living and are content to be there.

He was a lawyer and now he's an MP. If he becomes an estate agent any time soon he’ll have the full set!

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I grew up around there, mum still lives there and it can be a bit shirtty at times, but overall its probably not as rough as people make out, just got to know were and were not to go.

Lived in Salford and then moss side when at uni. Moss side had a big repuation and was kinda meek to be honest, Salford was a right shit heap, but in amongst that there were good people just like there is in Tottenham.

New stadium may help hopefully improve yhe place, but it aint so bad.

I just watched the programme and really enjoyed it (if that's the right word!) As you quite rightly said there are some great people living in Tottenham just as there are in all areas with terrible reputations and problems

The human spirit is an amazing thing

Diddnt come across as bad at all infact quite the opposite.

It wasn't exactly channel 4 benefits street...

No, but my Tottenham friends have said this programme was about Lammy, not really about Tottenham at all. The kind of social problems being highlighted could relate to many other places in London and elsewhere.
