Not April Fool, but nothing particularly surprising either.

No joke.

Has he said anything wrong? No. He's being honest but then I can't see him going anywhere for at least 2 seasons.

I think players empathising that the England job, for Harry, is too good an opportunity for him to turn down might work in our favour in keeping our best players. It isn't like he's leaving for another club or because we're shit. Even if none of us think leaving Spurs for England is a step up (outside of the financial) the fact that the players see it as something personal to Harry might be good for us.

Bale will end up in Spain or Italy at some point. For £50 million. If Barca or Real came knocking in 2 years then it's going to be hard to keep him and imo it wouldn't be as big a blow as losing Modric, especially if he goes abroad.

I'm not worried by the article.

What's the big deal? Harry should go and of course Bale would want to play for one of the two best clubs on the planet.

I know it's obvious it's a dream move but it's the "if the club accept a bid" and those sorts. Doing his agents job for him. I would mind if he said "one day" or something like that.

It is essentially the same as saying "one day" because the club may accept a bid one day, just not yet, besides, he also says in the same article about Harry that if we find the same kind of manager he doesnt think there would be much disruption at all, he's just being honest and fans are just panicking as they are always prone to do, just relax and look forward to the game this evening :)

What's the problem? Harry's never made any secret of the fact that England is the dream job for managers of his generation and who wouldn't want to play for Real or Barca. Just sounds like Bale being honest to me.

Just saw a status update on Facebook from the page 'Stuart Pearce for England Manager' stating: breaking news Harry Redknapp to take England Job at end of season, Stuart Pearce to be sacked as no.2, more to follow on BBC news shortly...

There isn't anything on Sky Sports or BBC news...

When will I ever not fall for it on April Fools day. :-|

Hmm so a top footballer said he wouldn't say no to Barca or Real and this is news?

Exactly, this is a nothing story and a waste of column inches. He didn't say anything out of turn, he said if a bid was accepted from Barca/Real any player would have to think about it, which is true.

Don't see anything wrong with what he's said. I wouldn't begrudge any of our players leaving for Madrid or Barca, and the fact that he's talking about them rather than United and City (or Chelsea if you're more interested in cash than success) is a positive.

I'm also pleased to hear him talking about how things shouldn't change too much provided the next manager is able to handle things in a similar way to Harry. Quite a sensible interview from the super simian.
