Was it the Barcelona President saying the other day that they'd have to cut spending and wages to stay within FFP margins now that Covid has reduced revenues so much? It seems that either Chelsea don't give a toss or that they're confident they'll get away with massive overspending one way or another.
They had a transfer ban for at least 2 windows, and ffp is based on averages, so that’s why they should be fine. It’s easy to bitch and complain about ffp, and rightly so with the Man City verdict, but this is not flouting the rules (this time).

What?

Am I missing something here? Cos if there's not a good explanation for those comments....
Lindelof wore a dress once, and the other is a Joey Barton tweet that he got banned for two games for. It’s an explanation, but it’s definitely not a good one.

I think a lot of the stuff they were accused of happened before all of the FFP rules were in place which effectively meant they didn't do wrong on those occasions. I don't actually know how Covid will affect FFP but it would be interesting to know.
I thought it was that a lot of the stuff they were accused of happened over 3 years ago, which means UEFA is no longer allowed to charge them for it, due to a loophole...not that it was pre-FFP.
The ridiculous part is that UEFA started investigating those breaches well within 3 years, but Man City's constant obstructions (which is what they were ultimately fined for) and appeal caused the 3-year limit to lapse.
