What happened?

Pretended not to understand me at first when he started a conversation (I don’t have an accent), then called me a f***ing Paddy........ He was with three quite big guys, I was with my 14 year old son (who didn’t hear any of it as he was on my other side).

Bizzare. They all deserve a clump for that.

I dont understand why people are surprised that in a crowd of tens of thousands of people there are a few hundred total arseholes. Its inevitable.

There are arseholes everywhere!
One thing I’ll say about the Y word and the N word for Black people, it’s ok for them to use the word amongst themselves, in the same way that we Irish call each other Paddies on occasion. Thing is it’s not ok for someone else to call us that.....
In a supportive way to Jewish people and in a defiant way, I’d be happy to chant Yid, but then I’m Irish and used to discrimination from the 70’s.

I think people have every right to be 'surprised' when they come up against idiots like that. I mean, the odds of bumping into someone like that out of tens of thousands of perfectly normal people are pretty slim.

Surely this means our defence is much more valid now.

YES!!! At last, our right to self-determination has been officially recognised by the highest authority governing our precious and sacred language. What this means is that clueless twerps like Baddiel can go f**k off trying to brand my club's fans as racist. This should also signal the end of any spurious investigations into our fan-base, which have taken up far too much time and money over the years which could and should have been put to better use elsewhere, like other clubs (including West Ham, Chelsea and half the Premier League...)

A glorious day indeed. (y)

They also include the frankly dubious... awesomesauce, adj.: “Extremely good; excellent.”

So I'd hesitate before popping the Babycham...

I used to go out with a Jewish girl who was horrified when she heard me say it once when referring to meeting some spurs mates. That was enough for me to not use it again.

It is not listed as slang nor is it listed as being a derogatory term, which admonishes us completely, and quite rightly so.

I've been supporting my club for almost 60 years and I have never heard any racist chanting from Spurs fans. If only I could say the same for many others...
