I never understand why we are so rubbish at 100m and 200m individually but pretty decent at the relay.

Gemili went like a fucking rocket and he didn't even make the individual team.

We have several sprinters of a good standard who will make semi finals whereas other countries may have one outstanding sprinter but not the depth needed to make a good relay team. Case in point, the Netherlands came last in the women's 4x100 but have Dafne Schippers, one of the best sprinters in the world, it's just the other three are nowhere near the same standard.

Kinda disappointed it's over now, never realised there's so many hot girls in athletics before.
Good to see we just about scraped our expected medal haul as well, it's quite odd thinking that's the last time we'll see Mo and Bolt on the track.

Exclusive investigation: World 100m champion Justin Gatlin embroiled in new doping scandal

18 DECEMBER 2017 • 9:28PM

Justin Gatlin, the world 100 metres champion, is at the centre of a new doping scandal after members of his team offered to illicitly supply performance-enhancing drugs.

Gatlin and his entourage are now being investigated by sports and doping authorities after a Telegraph investigation uncovered how members of his team offered to provide prescriptions in a false name and smuggle the substances to America.

Undercover reporters visited Gatlin’s Florida training camp where his coach, the former Olympic gold medallist Dennis Mitchell, and an athletics agent offered to supply and administer testosterone and human-growth hormone for an actor training for a film.

The products were to be provided via a doctor in Austria. The total fee for the project was to be $250,000 (£187,000).
