Well we showed numerous players around last season that didnt come to fruition including Will i an so don't go too excited about us showing Benteke around......

The way I hear this is - we did show Benteke round but not close to a deal

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but the reported money offered to Real Madrid for Jese matches up quite well in regards to Wishkah's ITK, correct?

I'd be curious if any ITK has heard if this interest is real or just crap created out of mud and sticks by the media?

I'd imagine it would be offset against what they still owe us

Exciting news if Villa has agreed a deal. Just hope we don't drag it out too long. A proper pre-season for DV would do him the world of good after the injuries and lack of minutes last season. Also getting to know Bale, so they cut through PL defences from the off. Mouth-watering.

Knowing DL he's gonna try and bash them down to 7mill and just end up pissing them off. Not counting this until I see that stamp.

Yeah, that was my initial thought. Also, reducing the amount owed to us from the Luka sale will mean more available money to be put towards a potential Bale transfer. And, not having that hanging over their head (remaining money from Luka) will mean a potentially smoother transfer negotiation.

3 x £10m installments would be pretty standard for payment of a transfer fee. It's hardly like they are a bad debtor.
