On a more serious note though, I've heard murmers on here that the club is in lock down, hence no ITK. If that were the case though, surely at the times when we do get ITK, the club is aware of what is being put out? I doubt there's nothing going on although there may not be any conspiracy (that's what they want you to think). I'd love for Deniel Levy to write a book one day about the shady goings on of the last decade or so. Either that or "Confessions of an ITK" where we get a peek into the crazy world of the transfer window.

Regarding Dempsey. I don't think its really a secret that if we got a decent bid for him we would probably sell him. I'm not saying we should, but he's a player we could sell to raise funds that would get a fairly good price.

I'm in 2 minds about selling him. He did get some important goals for us last season but his all round game isn't the best.

Can't help feeling that Villa need to sort the Benteke issue much more swiftly than we do.
If they don't leave themselves enough time to find a replacement, they could be in deep trouble.

I'll probably get negged for this but Dempsey did a lot more for us last season than Lennon for example but no one would ever mention selling him. I think he's a cracking option to have as he gets in the right place at the right time and he knows how to set a goal up.

Anyway if we're going to raise funds it should be by selling the very average Livermore and Huddlestone. I even think Parker should stay and provide cover for Sandro.

Or they will just stick to their guns and not sell him like they didn't sell Gareth Barry and he was in th last year of his contract.

I agree mate. Everyone's looking for strikers at the moment. They will need time to sign one up

Unless Dempsey is sold to a bigger club I have no idea who would take him maybe Fulham. He came here in pursuit of Champions League it's not like he's going to accept a contract from Stoke or Sunderland.

However, like someone else said - he left Fulham to come to a team in Champions League contention and I can't see him going to someone else on a level with us, so think he will be digging his heels in if we try and palm him off to another Prem club.

Perhaps Germany could be a destination for him??

As much as I cheered Dempseys goals for us, there is just something about him which never quite fitted at Spurs. Not the flair type of forward that we all expected or have been use to in years gone by.

Not so sure about selling Clint anymore, he looked as though he was just beginning to settle in at the end of last season. I'd be happy for it to happen though if it meant we could sign Chadli who also has a good goalscoring record.

I'm sure it's always been a case somewhat of needing to sell players to buy them. War chests are a figment of a journalists imagination. They very rarely exist.
