Is it only me that's really worried by this? We've agreed a deal with a great Brazilian player at a very good price. However, now the whole world knows about it and there's over a week for anyone in world football to come in and match our offer and take him off our hands.

We're a pretty good and desirable club, but there are probably others that he might prefer to go to. Hopefully he's really good mates with Sandro, and loves AVB already.

I assume the deal won't be done while the ConCup is on because his club and agent know it's the best shop window for the player and won't agree any deal until the rest of the world has viewed their window display, not for any actual technical admin reasons ?

We're a pretty good and desirable club, but there are probably others that he might prefer to go to. Hopefully he's really good mates with Sandro, and loves AVB already.

I think we need to realise that most deals nowadays arent secret to other clubs, even if they are to us, thats whats key, every top club that was thinking about Paulinho, or is thinking about Paulinho would have known about our interest for a while now. Does that mean they wont try and sign him? of course not, but as far as we've heard he's very keen to come to us as well, lets just hope Italy win tonight and Brazil get a nice easy tie against Spain in the semis then right?
