he is .....

He mainly plays on left as midfield 5, correct me if I'm wrong... Realise this means can't play left back but the game I saw when was 442 he didn't play. Not sure if this was due to his ban though. Nonetheless I still don't rate him highly. Never agreed with switching him to a left back in the first place. Feel he would of progressed better continuing as a winger but we probably tried to convert him due to having bale and a lack of left backs

Bad news is it looks like the gooners are getting Higuain, which is a blow as he's top class and good for the next 5 years.

Shame our special relationship with Real couldn't give us a deal on Higuain.

Hopefully we can wrap up Benteke to go with Villa & Paulinho as he'd be immense in our team.

Was he switched to Left Back? I thought that was his primary position - I was always of the opinion that he would be shifted forward (like Bale) over time and become a winger.

Yeah you're wrong, been lb for about 2 seasons now, how you can form such a judgement despite seemingly knowing so little of the player is beyond me

No, Savage is right on this one, his first Pokemon evolution was as a Winger.
I believe the decision to move him back though was correct as, IMO obviously, he has a far brighter future as an fb than he ever would as a Winger

For us he has but not England. Like I said he plate left midfield at least once in the euro 2013 (at least that's where he started the game) and he played on the left of a forward 3 at a previous tournament

6 months earlier he was playing left wing for Bristol City.....and earlier in his career he was playing CM for England so its hard to say exactly where he's best played. I'm sure he's adapted to playing LB but playing well for Sunderland doesnt automatically turn him into a potential LB for us.

Think we'll look to sign another if/when we sell Benny.

Yea Higuain will be a great signing, he's a top draw striker and not even in his prime yet (25?)

Our special relationship means f all clearly - other than Real wanting Bale after getting Modric of course

But then again even if it did help us agree a fee or get first refusal on someone like Higuain - he'd still know of interest from Arsenal and Juve and would simply refuse to join us because he knew higher wages were on offer and CL football

Will be a kick in the bollocks if Arsenal sign him - but realistically they're going to make some big signings this summer even if he isn't one of them. They've got the RVP money burning a hole and they make considerably more than us in revenue, they've had a couple of really close shaves now to missing out on CL football and this time they're going to spend the money they need to spend to push themselves closer to the title challengers than the race for fourth pack

Its up to us to respond, I guess keeping Bale and adding quality to the squad is a good way to do that - though I can't help but think the last two seasons we've missed two very big opportunites to overturn Arsenal and kick on and we might not get such a chance again anytime soon

I hope that we did have first refusal on Higuain and chose not to take him because:
A) we have better in the pipeline
B) he is about to fall apart physically (not ITK, just hoping)

If not, Arsenal have got a frighteningly good front line shaping up.
