JJ seems to have rightfully stopped passing on transfer itk for the present time after the same people who beg him for itk then slated him on here after Benteke fell thru.

I'm still mad at him because his advice to go electric with a car has been a massive waste. I should have trusted my gut and went diesel, but I begged JJ for his opinion and now I have a shitty hybrid that is just a money pit.

I have always thought of us as one of the most professionally run prem clubs since levy has been at the helm. Interesting to hear this may not be entirely the case. Although looking at how some of the other prem teams are run, it's not too far stretched to believe that we are one of the more professional clubs, but still a bit of a sham!

I think the finances are probably run as well as you'll find anywhere in the Prem. Sounds like our scouting system and possibly our medical department could do with an overhaul though, based on previous information.

Agreed. His advice to power my car with a raw King Edward potato and and an elastic band was equally disappointing. Yes, it moved, but only when I pushed it. I certainly won't recommend him any more to my friends and neighbours. It's over.

I think Baldini will see to that as part of his new role wont he? Along with his trusty assistant 'Youtube'. I hope to see us sign some good players in the 16-19 age group over the next few seasons.

Fingers crossed mate, Baldini's appointment is definitely a step in the right direction.

Baldini needs to see the whites of their eyes and a personal dossier before they sign.......you do know that clubs get private dick firms to sus out young players and old ones sometimes, dont you? Family background, friends/peer group are important factors when you are opening a wallet for a player....you dont want someone who smokes the green stuff and runs around with a crazy gang in their spare time (y)

All seem great bits of business. Yes we all want some world class youngster for peanuts, but so does every other club on the planet. Chuck in agents, media, it is very difficult to find hidden gems.

No, they've done pretty well in closing those deals, but with respect any of us could have scouted those players and come to the conclusion they were quality. Ambitious clubs without ridiculous wealth should be a few stages better than that, hopefully Baldini will provide a world class scouting structure that is more befitting where we want to be.
I trust Levy though, this is why he's wanted a technical director for so long and the purpose of the new training facility - serious big hitters produce home-grown first team talent on a regular basis, or import the very best youth into a successful academy. We're on the way, but I'm hoping we can get better at it. (y)

Not sure whether this has been posted,so here it goes:

Billy White on COYS

One man has left.

Unfortunately after yesterday's events I've decided to stop posting. The speed and veracity with which four key strokes (two in particular) set alight the emotions of many is not something I suppose I ever truly thought out when I decided to do this. It was indeed a strange experience to see my every single post dissected, all of my info posted in a lump sum on other forums for all to see, people talking about me on Twitter - everything. I really didn't expect it, nor do I want anything to do with it. I naively thought that I could post in relative anonymity, and after yesterday I don't feel that at all. I must also take into account the anonymity of the several sources whom have passed their info along to me.

I've also realized that it is not my place to get in the way of potential business transactions, whatever form they might take. In an increasingly globalized world, such transactions can falter or change at the drop of a hat, and for me to have any hand in these changes is not something I want to be a part of. It could come back to hurt the club that I love so dearly, and that is not worth this at all.

I apologize profusely for not being able to provide more information on the subject of Bale yesterday. Given the far-reaching impact that a simple emoticon had on yesterday's proceedings, I do hope you can understand my fear of posting any more than that. At the same time, I completely accept that posting a simple emoticon was the wrong thing to do, for many reasons. My information has been "bang on the money" (POTL ), and for me to post something negative - something that could be interpreted in so many different ways - on such a sensitive topic was stupid. For that I, again, apologize.

Let it be known that I have not been found out, nor have any of my sources been compromised, but am choosing to do so before anything bad happens, be it to me, my sources, a transaction that would benefit the club, or any other transaction (bar el roedor to L'Arse) for that matter. I also was never out to "take the piss", nor did I "rapidly succumb to the disease of egotism that plagues almost all ITKs upon the receipt of a little boy-band level adulation..." (Hitch, SC, Gareth Bale, P.53) Me leaving after having received such attention would hint to that being almost the complete opposite, although I won't say I didn't enjoy the warm thanks so many extended on this great forum. A great forum that, while perhaps may be a little on the "boy-band central"(Hitch, same post) side of things, stands in stark contrast to the other TH forums, both in quality of content and quality of members. Good work Prof .

I will leave you with a tiny bit of the Bale information one of my sources passed along to me on Friday night: nothing has been decided, and everything is still up in the air, but it's not as peachy as was previously believed/indicated. Sorry to still be vague, but at least you're getting words this time. Hopefully POTL can come on and clue you in more, and if his info still goes against mine then I will be all the happier.

I am having my account deleted, but if I ever do decide to pass more information along, those on this forum (you know who you are) will make sure that you know it's from me. Cheers and here's to a good season - whatever happens. And a 'nana for RS .

It was posted, when it first appeared on COYS.

Bit of an overreaction, but each to their own.

Thanks for posting this, Danny Boy, I hadn't seen it.

This is an object lesson in why SC has a policy of not criticising ITKs, and why anybody with half a brain should put their ego aside and refrain from doing it. We (via COYS) have now lost a source of what was apparently accurate information. As SC is specifically mentioned (nice work Hitch) it shows that we should not only show restraint regarding 'our' ITKs, but to all of those good enough to pass on what they are privy to.

Do we want people to share information or not? If so, play nice. Be respectful - even if you doubt the information or the motive for posting it. To paraphrase an old adage, if you can't say something nice, then say nothing at all.

I dont understand why people gets so emotional with the ITK?

When there is no info people complain..... when there are info that is against ones like, complain again.

Just take the info as it is and discuss the content rather than go personal....
